Concise, to the point, and very practical, love it. This actually inspires me to practice as this is my first fighting game and I am a Ky main trying to improve rather than auto-piloting so this came at a great time for me to reflect and learn what I need to improve my Ky play. Great stuff man.

@@djq9903 For this being your first fighting game, you seem to pick up and understand game mechanics real fast. And from what I am hearing on your inputs, are you on a hitbox too? If you are same here, first fighting game and jumping in the deep end with a hitbox! I still struggle with execution and especially knowing when to push what buttons with Ky during certain matchups. Would you consider doing match up videos with Ky, especially with ones he struggles with like Nago, Leo, Ram, etc? Would love to hear your take and advice on them. Keep up the great vids man.

I do use hitbox, I just think it's optimal so really why wouldn't you use one haha. there's tech that stick players can't do so I figured why learn stick then eventually switch when I could just go straight to hitbox and it's been so worth it

@@djq9903 Looking forward to your MU vids. And I am with you there with hitbox. Tried arcade sticks but when I switched to hitbox it just felt really good. Out of curiosity what is button layout on hitbox with strive? Been going back and forth on different layouts and always interested in seeing how other do inputs with their layouts.

also with 5k you can cancel it into a j.D which will catch backdash and jump and if it hits it combos, idk how safe it is on block but i think you can do an j attack after it to make it safe

Do you have any tips for DE FDC safe jump. I've been trying to learn it for a few weeks now and I just can't get it right like ever.

yeah it's kys hardest tech :( if you're struggling with the fd cancel j.s, you could try just 9>air dash j.h. it won't reach as far for some DE hits I think. the key is getting the rhythm for the tiny microdash after DE. since it's manually timed, it's kind of rough. once you get your air dash aerial perfect timing, then you can focus on getting the microdash timing right. only way to really do it is to have a dummy 50/50 6p or DP and be able to beat it every time. if u play hitbox I can upload how the button rhythm sounds since that's how I learn. best of luck!

nope! there's more videos on my channel all about it, I use 5k dash cancel 5k in all my setups

the FD js one? that one is hard, I'd practice doing air dash FD cancel j.s first until you get it down, then you have to experiment with the tiny dash you do before your jump after dire eclait. definitely takes a lot of practice but well worth it

he can push buttons between 5k 5k, 5k 6k, and 5k and throw. the idea is to use the above to make your opponent push buttons. 5k throw obviously makes them push buttons, but you risk a lot if they backdash counter hit. whereas 5k 5k has less risk in that regard. it's all rps, you basically do strings that make them push buttons then punish them for doing so
