Hey I'm here to say that I have had the thoughts of cursing the holy Spirit and I will tell you this I had a voice (Jesus) come to me a few days later and asked me why I had just a thought and I responded to him saying idk then a few days later I had the feeling of my soul leaving my body but it was forced back into my body and that's when I realized that it was the holy Spirit once you are secure in the Lord he'll never let you go bottom line cause he loves us more than we will ever know

If you are feeling worried and scared that you might have committed it that is evidence that you have NOT committed the unforgivable sin. People who have committed would not care about salvation or being saved . The devil is a liar and he throws darts at your mind to turn you away from God . You are fine , God bless you .

Stories in the Bible are not just there to entertain us. They are to inform us, as events, and shape our lives. They reveal God’s character and encapsulate biblical values. Think about how national identity is shaped by a nation’s history and the way that history is told. The Bible is the history of God’s new nation. But the significance of stories is not always clear. How are we to teach them? How are we to apply them? One key way of identifying their significance is to look for editorial comments. These are statements that do not add to the narration of events; rather, they comment on or interpret them. Sometimes they may involve a reference to how the story fulfills another part of the Bible. Mark 6: 30- 44, for example, tells the story of the feeding of the 5,000. Verse 34 says: “When [Jesus] went ashore he saw a great crowd, and he had compassion on them, because they were like sheep without a shepherd. And he began to teach them many things.” This is pure editorial comment. It is not required for the story to make sense as a story. Mark has included it so we can understand the significance of the story. It is a deliberate echo of Ezekiel 34. In Ezekiel 34 God condemns the “shepherds’” of Israel, that is, its human leaders. They have failed to care for the flock (God’s people) so God’s people are left vulnerable and needy. But God also promises to send a new king David the archetypal shepherd-king. The new king will care for the flock. Mark wants us to recognize that Jesus is God’s promised shepherd-king. Sometimes the editorial comment may be in the words of one of the participants of the story, which the narrator has chosen to include because it comments on the story. Amen

These videos are both hilarious... and sad. Here we have an apparently sane and studious-looking bloke who titles himself as a "Professor of Christian Ethics", which is a laughable way to describe oneself. I know Christians who are decent and very ethical people, but they possess these admirable properties despite their strange beliefs. If there is such a thing as 'Christian ethics' then it bears no relation to anything that I would describe as ethical. I believe that chattel slavery is unethical, that racism, murder, genocide, misogyny, homophobia, and blind obedience to unaccountable authority are all deeply unethical. And yet these are all things that Christians are required to accept and support and justify, because their nasty little book of superstitious fairy tales (or horror stories) tells us that these have all been committed by, commanded by, or sanctioned by their god. Ethics... pull the other one!

Hello! These are indeed not things that Christians are required to accept, support, or justify. There have been many horrendous things that have been done in the name of our God, and the Christian church has much to repent for. The Word of God does not support these things you talk about. I would love to talk more with you about this, or perhaps I would encourage you to look more into the teachings of Jesus which are most prolific throughout the Gospels (Matthew, Mark, Luke, John). I agree with you on much of what you have said. Within this current social climate, I dream wildly for the church, and am very grateful for the grace of God. Peace be with you.

@@RichieWrong001 - I'm afraid that Ms Wilkinson does not appear to have read her Bible if she is under the impression that the vile practices I mentioned are not committed, commanded, or sanctioned by her god... unless she's one of those Christians who thinks that much of the Bible is allegorical, or metaphor, or made up 'morality tales' (although the morals seems pretty disgusting to me). As for the so-called "teachings of Jesus"... well, if we ignore the fact that no-one knows if this mythical character even existed, let alone what he might have said, then we could study the words that the anonymous gospel authors (writing up to a century later) put into his mouth. These statements include the claim that he (Jesus) had not come to change one jot of the 'Old Law' (ie. the Mosaic Law which mandated a lot of the most grisly and bloodthirsty practices). Indeed, according to the Bible the whole point of this Jesus character was to attone for the inherited sins of humanity and the story makes no sense if you don't accept the self-evidently immoral and obviously unjust concept of 'original sin'.
