The Gospel of Thomas (also known as the Coptic Gospel of Thomas) is a non-canonical sayings gospel. It was discovered near Nag Hammadi, Egypt, in December 1945 among a group of books known as the Nag Hammadi library. Scholars speculate that the works were buried in response to a letter from Bishop Athanasius declaring a strict canon of Christian scripture. Scholars have proposed dates of composition as early as AD 60 and as late as AD 140.
The Coptic-language text, the second of seven contained in what modern-day scholars have designated as Codex II, is composed of 114 sayings attributed to Jesus. In the Gnostic Christian tradition, Christ is seen as a divine being which has taken human form in order to lead humanity back to the Light. The usual meaning of gnostikos in Classical Greek texts is "learned" or "intellectual".

Years ago I went into a Vedanta temple in the mountains. I didn't know what Vedanta was at the time but when I entered this small beautiful church I almost fell down for along the walls and alcoves were figurines of all the worlds Holy Teachers - Buddha, Christ, Mother Mary, Ramakrishna, and so many other Holy, Divine Beings. It was the first time I felt safe and invited to love and cherish them all equally. It truly felt like a homecoming. Your productions Jayasara do the same. You pull from all traditions and faiths without hesitation, inviting us all to this banquet of Everything. To be nourished from this well is Grace and I Am truly grateful to you, our Spiritual Guides, and the Sangha for what is here is more than words can ever convery.

I was raised catholic, it didnt stick into my teens, i was lost at 20. I investigated religion in a wider context, went east and understood through Yoga the more explicit dimensions of faith spirituality and mysticism. Devotion, Gnosis, Energy and karma, coming back to the words of Christianity through the lense of deconstructioning and reconstructing religion, i find it resonates very deeply and i find ways to marry my temperament to something that before seemed far off and impractical. You can see what the likes of thomas and john were weighting between their words, and its easier to grapple with abstract implicit ideas once you understand explicitly what yoga/ union with the divine is, can feel like, and how it can be attained through various means. For me, yoga was the return to the body, and the foundation to plant a ladder, from physical experience, to super-physical experience and understanding. Love to all, keep seeking, the truth and the love is real and yours to live x

My first listen to these words. Signs and synchronicities confirm our re-alignment to source and truth, so when Jesus asked "how would you describe me in one word? " I answered after calm contemplation: "peace" then when Jesus was finishing his talk he said "I leave you with peace" - At that moment I knew that I had received a sign, and I was exactly where I was meant to be. Yes....your on your path...you'll reach a point where you can't describe Jesus. He will reveal the true meaning of his teachings to you. This book spoke to me the most and I understand it because I lived it and was even teaching it before I read it. Jesus is talking about physocology. Becoming our trueselves, who we were as kids before society changed us. The above like the below (brain heart cohesion) 2 becomes 1 is your dark side (shadow) and light side becoming 1, this allows us to be shrewd as a serpent and yet innocent. Accept your female and male energy. Our inside world and outside world are reflections of each other. We manifest from the unconscious (hidden) part of the mind. Make the unconscious conscious so you can make your actions match your true self, wich is Christ. Then you will have replaced your image.

The kingdom is inside you and all around you. Purify your hearts to find the kingdom. The heart is cured of corruption and impurities by the Most Holy Precious Body and Blood of Christ in communion . Life can only heal the corruption of life. Our spiritual eye is blind and damaged. GOD is Life and all life comes from him. The treatment continues by avoiding impure thoughts and actions, and by rehabilitation of the eye of the soul. The eye of the soul must be forced into its proper positions though strenuous and vigorous and persistent prayer. rosary is the best exercise for the eye of the Soul. Do this and you will find the Kingdom.

I am no longer any part of what is religious. I have no name for what I seek. I have been thrown out of a church, name removed from membership (they went after my personal LIFE also). They started rumors about me, claiming, "He is a son of satan, in search of the doctrine of demons." Whatever that is? One night literally crying myself to sleep, I had a "dream." I felt I caused a horrible mess I couldnt fix. I cant forget it, because IT happened in real life about 7 months later. In that dream I was told to be cheerful, the Great Teacher was called a devil by religious people also. "That growing popular "church" is a divided house of empty worship. You KNOW THIS, it eats at your soul... You did nothing wrong, except stay too long. It is a business (to them) and used for social status. It knows only its own truth. Watch it become a haunt for nothing except the few "owners" of what they boast is "their Church." "That is the one thing they have correct." All THIS... for asking some very "wrong" questions, making blunt comments, at an inconvenient time. This become an event that was blown so out of proportion, in about 7-8 months that packed building was empty (just as I was told). It mostly still is. In retaliation they also played a huge part in getting me fired from my career job where I had rebuilt a dying company. From what little I know that business too, is now barely holding on. Oddly I am always THE ONE to blame, yet it was fine before I was cast out with zero warning, and zero allowance to defend what was happening. Looking back... This was the best thing that has ever happened to me. I learned so much, so fast, and remained SILENT as many others told things totally outrageous about me... So much to the fact it started exposing what they did, and why they did it. LIES cant keep answering lies. The questions I asked were out of disgust of their materialist doctrines. It was "Easter" I had not planned this. I tried to hold it back. The "sermon" was an obvious hog washing, money grab, based on guilt and FEAR of this angry hateful "GOD" who is love? I asked who does GOD owe this DEBT for our sins? That must means there is a debt collector above GOD? Why did GOD, allow his son to be a HUMAN sacrifice on the same day with all the other PAGAN gods ceremonies? This same GOD killed everyone for doing human sacrifice in the old days? How does this balance out? I asked, "How can you say 'the sinners prayer' and suddenly someone who KNOWS ZERO of what YESHUA taught, (which you do not teach)... And they are "saved" because YOU SAY SO. What does YESHUA say of all this unwritten stuff? Is it better than what he teaches ABOUT THE KINGDOM WITHIN US? You teach nothing but fractions clipped to make the Bible say what you want. Its 325AD all over again, every SUN-day in most all churches. Truth is not relative, it is factual, and no facts are making sense. I know I am no longer welcome here. I am fine with this. To my defense (insanity) I have traits of very high functioning Autism. I am mostly silent and always learning. When things get too intense I usually implode (shut down) and thats a GOOD THING, but that day it was the opposite. Something that has only happened very few times in my LIFE. No one cares, but its something I struggle with minute by minute in tense situations. There is a lot of back story to this, where some pitiful comments were made on how I think and other stuff. Small towns can be very viscous places to live sometimes. I am one of the quietest guys there is... But that day I was like thunder, lightning, and a hail storm. I know it had a purpose, but it was like exposing a poison others see as things GOD owed to them. ALLTHATIS or YESHUA owes us nothing... Yet they are already picking out curtains for the mansions "GOD is building for them." I feel IF we disrespect this LIFE (living lies) those mansions are mostly mirages in lost mindsets. I never wish bad on people... But so little care is taken in "what GOD says." That ordeal got me HATED, and that will not change. I wish it could have made a difference. But sadly I was just the domino that started a chain reaction. This affected my fiends, my family, and eventually I could so easily feel the DISTANCE from everyone. What they do not know is... THAT IS FREEDOM to be the learner and not be bound to what someone else allows. This has became a trek into a very lonely LIFE, but inwardly a FULL LIFE. I'm good with it. BE LIGHT, even when it hurts : ) aho \o/

Pastors in church, Yeah. You're right, God doesn't owe us really. We are the ones in debt/depth by creating bad karma/action which we have to live out. Opheilatos/debtors/sinners. To be Pagan is to Pay again (another round/Druk 2020 movie) by material worship. Original Sin is falling into an operating system or OS computer. The Apple OS. SATO is Japanese for 'sugar' The land of the rising Sun and it has a lot of candy. Just like the story of the Witch in the woods. Irenaeus didn't like the Valentinians because of their wisdom in Scripture and wanted to root them out or give them a bad cred if you will. The name Irenaeus (of the devouring Lyon) Sounds a lot like the translation hamatolos which means "the erring" or "the erroneous." God's Word is reveiling himself in ...words. Who knew? God is spirit and can't be contained by the archons. They killed their own. Jesus is also known as "the living water". So the rulers of this world aim for the contamination of our water supply. Within and without. Christ wasn't born on 25 december, this lie is told by most churches. This day (or days) represents the longest and darkest day of the year. Humans are concidered as 'walking trees.' The birth of Christ within you lights up the whole tree, hence the Christmas tree and a Holy day. During these days Light has to shine symbolically. Why people still follow the Pope or the Roman church is beyond me. Not to mention Islam who ritually kills the sheep every year and walk around their stone. That's a billion dollars of income for the rich oil sjeiks. What a joke. Take care and don't let the ney sayers get to you.

Different students ears are tuned to the voice of differet teachers, so what you perceive as the best teacher, might npt be that for another person. Eckhart Tolle is a living teacher who guides me but not everyone can listen to him, others resonate with other teachers, other paths.

@@cellerdoor2954 great question. this gospel does an excellent job explaining Carl Jung’s concept of individuation for a more fulfilling and comforting life… “When you make the two into one, and when you make the inside like the outside and the outside like the inside, and the above like the below, and when you make male and female into a single one, so that the male will not be male nor the female be female, when you make eyes in place of an eye, a hand in place of a hand, a foot in place of a foot, an image in place of an image, then you will enter the Kingdom” that is one of the most influential teachings I’ve taken from this and continually tried to implement into my life. the opposite is always something to fight, go against; instead bring it in, bring it in close and make it a part of you… all becoming one

The idea of taking unlike things that create friction in life and making them like. “When you make the two into one, and when you make the inside like the outside and the outside like the inside, and the above like the below, and when you make male and female into a single one, so that the male will not be male nor the female be female, when you make eyes in place of an eye, a hand in place of a hand, a foot in place of a foot, an image in place of an image, then you will enter the Kingdom.” The opposite is always something to go against, something to fight. Something I work towards everyday is eliminating the friction, getting rid of the fight. All is a mirror: thats what I’ve learned :)

I feel like what he might be saying is if you give up caring about life, and dissolving your ego, then when you fade away it will be the same as not existing before you were born, so you won't "taste" death, as it is the same as already giving up on life in a sense. You won't notice death in other words as you're kinda already dead. Doesn't mean you won't die though. Sounds kinda like transcendentalism. If we are all one and you give up your separateness, then at the end of your life, you won't care that you're dying. Though you will die and cease to exist. What I'm gaging from this is possibly he's saying- OK here is the deal, we are all gonna die so why stress out about it and care about anything that's going to fade away too... that might be what he's doing. Just giving people a more peaceful way to stop caring about stuff.

Iam truly seeking healing from my borderline personality disorder.I have prayed and fasted ever since I first believed Jesus and his words more than 30yrs. Why are the sayings beyond understanding and healing. If you really love someone you would speak clearly so they can transcend their suffering. In my quest to please and understand God I always end up empty and confused! So to to me all these gospels are just SO WHAT? Nothing changes. What is ,IS. These sayings don't and didn't change my reality.I wish peace and love to all who are still suffering.

I'm now suffering and praying and learning as much as I can about the truth of this world. I believe we are good seeds sprinkled on bad ground. In the end, let our sufferings and intentions be weighed against our sins.

This same Jesus who came as a man the first time will come from the sky at His second coming, which is a day soon awaited, yet no one knows when this day will be said Jesus. May we all prepare ourselves to KNOW Him and receive Him into our hearts before this great and awesome day. This is the same Thomas who came into India in AD 52 on the great commission to share JESUS, and landed on the shores of Kerala. The Syrian Christians of Thomas claim to be of this legacy of discovering Jesus. He was martyred in a few years in another place. Thank you for this.

Had an interesting experience a few years ago that sounds like what this video discusses. I was meditating regularly for at least 1 to 2 hours every day. As I stepped into the shower, it felt like my life flashed before me. Time felt different. It only lasted a few seconds but massive amounts of information flew thru my mind. It felt like I died. Afterwards I was like a different person with a new perspective and understanding of life. I know I've lived many lives before. Also gained compassion towards people since I now see how strong the veil can be for many. We are part of an infinite system that flows and changes. Our energy pretends its separate so it can learn and be part of this play, but reality is we're all connected and dancing eternally. The most ironic and beautiful part I experienced with this was knowing without doubt we are all Nothing, reality is Nothing, we came from Nothing, and we eventually will return to Nothing. But this isn't Nothing like what we typically think. This is a Nothing that holds pure potential. Because only Anything can come from Nothing. Only Nothing can manifest the infinite. ❤🙏

I didn’t realize that my mind strayed far from my faith. Only took personal and work loss to get to that point. Now that I feel born again with this new perspective, it’s heartbreaking to be a witness to the state of the world right now. I find it all selfish, ignorant, greedy, and silly. People are dying based on disagreements and there’s too much yelling and not enough listening… A lot of these “leaders” too claim to be faithful and commit atrocities the next. Isn’t the message for all religions the same? The answer to everything is Love…but I don’t see it… I can only pray for a better future…one where people are receptive and can learn and accept the mistakes of the past.
