Your attitude is why I keep watching your bait channel. I have learned alot on bait painting and I think I'm getting better. Like you said everything takes hard work and that's what I'm continuing to do with my baits. Thanks for the help along the way with your videos.

You are the best. Anytime someone asks me about airbrushing I always refer them to you. I have been meaning to drop a email to KBS Coatings telling them they need to sponsor you. If not for you I would of never tried their product. Thanks again.

I've been watching your videos for a long time, and I continue to look forward to them. You have been a major inspiration for why I've started painting baits. Through these videos you've taught me to never give up on a bait, and more importantly, have fun. I hope you continue this for many years to come. Tight lines!!!

Hey Jen I love watching your Videos and learn so much from you. I am just starting to get into airbrushing, but before I go on this Journey I will watch a few more Videos on how to do this. I love Fishing and make my own Soft plastic baits and had a company called Baits On The Bay. Then I got Cancer and it put me in a Wheel Chair where I can't do to much. But I am into the Bible and it helped me a whole lot Serving the Lord. Now I want to move from where I'm at to the Eastern Shore Maryland on the water . Then maybe I can start Fishing again Amen. Keep up the Good work Girl. Keep those Lines tight and see you on the next one.

Do you go back ever and apply more coats or is doing it once enough? If you do go back, how long do you wait? Also how long before you use them?
@Jekyll424 Жыл бұрын
yes I do. If it's KBS I wait about 10-14 days before using (or selling/shipping) I love it but it takes a bit to cure. I spray Tamco 2K on larger swimbaits and that's much faster (1-2 days)

Hey I'm about to try brushing kbs on my first swimbait, is one coat enough or is it like dipping where I do 2 coats? Aldo if brushing extra coats, would doing a 3rd coat on the bottom help with hook rash?
@Jekyll4245 ай бұрын
Swimbaits generally take a beating harder. Bigger fish, harder impact from bites. Brush THREE coats, 24 hours apart, cure (leave hanging) for 4-7 days depending on humidity and conditions. Keep checking for drips and pooling. KBS is self leveling, but 3 coats can create a bit of drip if you’re not mindful of it.

If you paint in the joint so that it matches the rest of the bait, won’t the water eventually discolor the paint in between the joint since you do t clear coat in between joint? Did my first one and came out really good but joint gummed up a little when I brushed clear in joint. I like painting in between but maybe I should just leave it without paint? What are your thoughts? Great video and channel!!!

Do you clean your brush or throw away if you clean what do you use ?

Brushes for clearcoat are single use. The bulk buy pack of flats at Walmart are decent enough to use for this. 🙂

Have you ever sprayed kbs in your gun? Or tried their rattle can version?

Their aerosol is great. Don't ever spray clearcoat through your airbrush. That will end badly 😢
