‘12 to 15’ mph. - you need to be on shore reading a book! Absolutely agree with that instruction.

Aorund here, a west wind always seems to blow in your face no matter which way you are paddling! Looking forward to the other wind videos. Thank you for this one.

this is why I learnt how to sail and made a sailing rig.. just a maim sail. I use my ottertail as the rudder, going downwind and as a jagger board, when beating up wind.. open canoe sailing is Ann incredible experience. knowledge practice fun fun FUN . keep going Lisa 🛶👍

Wow Graham, sounds fun. I’ve rigged a sail with the wind at my back and several canoes rafted together. Crude, but fun and effective.

Hi Lisa, What scale of map was that please?
@Mainepolingguide2 жыл бұрын
It’s in an app called TOPO MAPS. I get the section I want at the scale I want and screen shot it and color print. BUT because of that it’s very difficult for me you convert the scale. Also I have to orient using true north lines and convert with declination in the field. Not such a big deal when you get used to it and I’ll probably do a segment this winter.

I use a battery powered pump in my canoe if waves get too big and crest the canoe. Haven’t sunk yet. 😉

I love island hopping. I would rub the rocks on shore rather than swim with a swamped boat any day.

Hey Lisa! Another great video! Still looking for the make/model/where to get the camper kitchen. Help please!
@Mainepolingguide2 жыл бұрын
For the Kamper kitchen contact Connie Ullman Dowie. Supplies are limited and the price is 150$ I think. But worth it. Good luck it may take a while.
