As someone who has rollerbladed for over 25 years. Helmet helmet helmet helmet helmet. I've been doing aggressive skating since 2001 and even when I'm skating around the neighborhood in my fitness skates I wear a helmet. One pebble can jam your wheel regardless of skill. Otherwise you're progressing well.

May i ask how to skate outside? I keep on tumbling. But i have the same road as the person here in the video. I already mastered how to skate inside. I rarely even fall when i skate inside. Can you give me tips?
@grivoc3 жыл бұрын
@@krystinamonacar179 she's doing a lot of her skating on tiles which are actually not easy to skate on at all. Anything that has cracks or seams make it more difficult. If you can skate on a smooth floor find a smooth flat surface outside. Feel free to post a video if you want specific advice. Mostly try to stay in a slightly crouched stance with your knees bent, never stand up straight.

Hey, i really want to start inline skating and all i’ve used are my mom’s old “head” inline skates that i recently broke. I want to buy myself a new pair and since you’re experienced, can you please give me advice for what type of skates i should look for? Or maybe even recommend a brand? I’ ll be really thankful since i have no one to ask and the information i find on websites is confusing
@grivoc3 жыл бұрын
@@beliss7642 lol maybe I should start a rollerblading channel instead of gaming j/k. I would stay to known brands. Rollerblade, K2, and powerslide all make really good skates. For fitness skates I really like Rollerblades design and prefer a hard boot. Some people find the K2 softboot. I haven't skated powerslide's fitness skates but their aggressive skates are incredibly well made.

Great progress. For crossovers, if turning left you need to put your weight on your left skate, lean into the left turn and lift your right skate over it and in front. Almost like you’re running around a bend on a running track. At the moment you are letting your left skate slide in behind your right skate as you turn left. Keep it up!

That was a really fast progression, congratulations!!! I started skating again also in quarentine, and rememberd why I liked to skate a lot. Here some tips that really help me to skate better. -Relax your body. -alway be a little lean to the front (falls backward can hurt you really bad) . -think in the motion when you are running. -when rolling backward dont look at your feet, that puts a lot of weight to the front and makes you fall, look over your shoulder. -when rolling backward keep some distance between your skates, one a little bit in front of the other. -learn to T brake. -when you are learning something new, try to keep your body low. Helps to fall more softly.
@benjaminzavadsky14133 жыл бұрын
A lot of people have said this but for your crosses in simple terms instead of putting your right foot behind your left you want to lift your left foot and put it over your right, assuming you’re turning right and the opposite way to turn left. This will feel more natural after a while.

I'll join the fray, just put a note at the beginning saying that anyone who is going to start should split their budget on skates and protection gear. No matter if it's in the front door or on real road. :) Got to wait you reach 2 months before seeing wrist and knee pads while you were skating on very short clothes, it's painful to watch seeing you fall on bare skin, luckily, smooth tiles and low speed are very forgiving but bones are easy to break (speaking with experience there). nevertheless, very good progression! That's really the first time I am seeing those crossover as a milestone. Is that part of a written training? When you go down the ramp, having one foot in front of the other will help you stabilize a little bit more than side to side. Keep riding and smiling. ^_^ edit: also, when you stand, please check or have somebody look at how angled are your skates. Your feet are slightly leaning on the inside up to 2 months, but on the last part, not sure because you are not riding enough front forward to the camera to see. This is a milestone in control over your skates, being able to skates with the feet straight.

Definitely kicking ass! I'm sure you've only improved since this so much more. A small tip (even though everyone in the world is giving you tips so I apologize for unwarranted advice) is cross overs should be done by putting your front foot over your rear foot. not putting your rear foot behind your front foot. you're essentially wanting to push with that front foot while turning. But once again, it looks like you're doing such a great job! Keep it up!!

You might want to look up a video on parallel turning. The way you're turning is more like the first step of doing a crossover. In a parallel turn, for example, when you turn to the right you should have your right foot ahead of the left in a scissor position. This should make turning a lot easier, fix the tilt of your ankles, and also puts you in a better position to start doing crossovers when you get the hang of it! Here's a shot vid kzbin.info/www/bejne/f5app2SkoZdphNk .
