Love all the points. I'm not even a professional but I'm getting the xs20 as a secondary for my xh2s, with 3 amazing lenses already, it just makes perfect sense. especially for concert videography that I want to get into, having a capable camera like this getting that second angle with a f/1.4 lens, just *mwah*

Bought an XS20 yesterday after much deliberation. I was initially interested in the XT5 as a replacement to an XT2 but then the Black Friday XH2 S appeared and I was so close to buying that given the price and deal with battery grip. In the end the head won and I saw common sense. This will be a great travel camera for me.

Just upgraded from the XT2 to the Xs20 yesterday as well! Went through almost the exact deliberation process lol. I am going to miss the shooting experience on the XT2 though, I prefer the separate dials for iso and shutter speed, but the stabilization and video improvements are going to be a game changer when traveling.

After actually looking at it tonight as I was busy yesterday I noticed the sensor had some hairs and marks so it is going back to the shop. Not a great start.

For xh2s im gonna give you A TIP When using flog2 The xh2s has a dual gain iso feature Meaning yes the native iso is 1200 But whats intresting here that you can bump to 3200 iso where the second gain kicks in and cleans up the captured up to 50% of the noise This is only noticible after applying the grade in post Youd still get some noise but its alot cleaner than iso 2500 Do this and also use a higher rsolution than 1080p Do keep in mind that this system isnt a dual base iso camera unlike a canon c400 or a redkomodo Your low light footage will look really nice as the noise generated is organic and has a filmic look to it unlike other brands that have a chroma noise pattern that ruins skin tones As for the xh2 and xt5 the dual gain iso kicks in at flog2 iso 2500 The xt5 and xh2 are a higher res sensor and thus prone to more noise in lowlight The xt4 when using flog1 kicks in at iso2000 Im surprised that fuji doesnt advertise this feature unlike sony or blackmagic.....etc Now my question for fujifilm Does the xs20 have a dual gain iso similar to xh2s given that it has the new procesor??? Any xs20 flog2 users out there that can confirm this?!?

I had fuji xs-10 and even though it was very similar to the very popular xt4 when it comes to focus and image quality, I had to sell it because its too unreliable. Sometimes the meter exposure is going crazy, sometimes the focus lags, sometimes the camera goes in stand by and then won't turn on, sometimes the photos are way too soft and sometimes the colors shift drastically for no reason even in raw mode. Thats too much to bear

I noticed the overheating issue worsen, is due to using low aperture lens and high ISO. Especially those who using kit lens, shooting indoor in video mode, where the ISO could go up to 1600 - 3200. Use big aperture lens like F1.2 and F1.4 and keep the ISO low could help to avoid overheating.

Really enjoyed watching this video! I have just bought the X-T30 Mark II but I’ve just noticed that the X-S20 is on sale for the same price as what I paid for the X-T30 except it has an XC lens. Which do you recommend I go for especially as a newbie photographer? I will be using it for travel/random photos but not for vlogging.

Firstly thank you but secondly, I think if you can get fujifilm newest camera for the same price as what you’ve got then, personally I would choose that. This camera is inspiring - it’s worth making the switch. These are just my opinions though

I've just bought the camera and absolutely love it. One thing - it has severe backlight bleed in two places on LCD. I've never experienced anything like this on canon or sony cameras. Is it "normal" for fuji though?

I wouldn't recommend the xs-10/20 to someone new to fuji. As great as they are, the depth of the UI to navigate vs something like the xt30 or x100 for a beginner is night and day. As great a camera as these are I think its not all that beginner friendly to use.

Whats the record limit like, the XS-10 for the matter had a max single record limit of 30 mins, can this go beyond that or unlimited (heat and battery aside)

It doesn’t have a recording limit, but if you are recording 4k or open gate, your camera will probably overheat around the 30 minute mark anyways or so I read. I have also heard it is similar with the XT series of cameras.

Just bought mine a few days ago with the sigma 18 - 50 & TTArtisan AF 35. I now cant decide what wide angle lens to get as I’m torn between the Viltrox 13mm and the Sigma 10 - 18 - what do you recommend ?

The Viltrox is such a good lens - I can't recommend it enough. I've made a few videos on it - go check them out. I can't speak for the Sigma, I'm afraid

Old and disabled heavy DSLR equipment no longer an option. I've had my eye on this camera recently due to its size and weight but would love peoples opinion on its 18-55mm kit lens and a possible extra purchase of a prime 18mm.

If video was a priority for me I'd grab a X-S20 but I love my X-T30 II for basically the same reasons. It doesn't draw attention when shooting in public and that in turn makes me less self-conscious. Paired with an xf 27mm f/2.8 it's small enough to be concealed in my hand almost entirely.

What do you mean by "recipe"? Fujifilms included picture profiles?

What I mean is you can create your own fujifilm picture profiles by tweaking the white balance, colour, tone curve etc in your settings. It's fun to do - give it a try!

its reliable when you have no more than 1-2 persons in your frame , if more Af will be refocusing and trying to find more faces . When I shoot events I turn face detrecion off

I've been using an XT-100 for probably about 5 years now, purely for my own personal/hobby type photography and whilst it's been great as a fairly amateur user, I do want to 'up my game'. I've been interested to try capturing video more, either with the intention of accompanying my photography on insta with a clip, reels, or maybe even KZbin in the future. I've considered either this or the XT5. My reluctance to get the XT5 has mostly been size I think, because I've always loved how much smaller my XT-100 has been when compared to the whopping great Canon kit that my Dad lugs around on holidays etc! I'm asking a question...................but feel like writing this, I may almost be talking myself into the X-S20 lol. I suppose the only thing I would say, is I do prefer the more traditional/vintage camera style of the XT5. The XS20 has a more modern......verging on Canon style aesthetic to it, probably as a result of the big grip.

I’m afraid I can’t compare them as I have little to no experience with the x-e4 however, I feel like the xs20 is setup as a hybrid camera rather than just for photography which I would assume what the x-e4 is. Hope that helps.

I have x100v and use it for video. I think x-s20 is better than mine, for stabilization, autofocus, flip screen and sure more location for store video setting. X-e4 is quite similar to x100v. I stabilise video with LumaFusion. It works quite good. In my opinion if you want a good video camera the right chose is x-s20. If you want a pocket camera for good photos and sometimes videos, x-e4
