That was a seriously impressive costume! I absolutely love how many things you made yourself : the brooches out of painted cardboard were my favourite, I think. It shows there's no need for 3D printing (no offence to creators who use that, as a technique 3D printing just feels more professional and less DIY to me personally). With your brooches, and the rest of the costume, you showed that the spirit of a costume can matter more than screen accurate reproductions, if you know what I mean? Your flexibility and moves were already impressive during fittings, but when you added in the practice, that was the cherry on top of the cake. I don't speak your language, so your subtitles were hugely appreciated, thank you! They added the finishing touch to a very fun video.

Still, I feel there's been a shift in DIY videos from "let's be creative" to "let's get technical"... do you know what I mean? I think the Cathy Hay peacock dress controversy (over on historical dress youtube) informed a lot of my opinions, if you care to look into that ;-)

Really fantastic job! What made you decide to use gelatin over silicone or latex btw? I like gelatin just fine but it can melt over time and silicone will generally hold up to extra uses.

No the face piece was metal(you can see it in the movie when it's taken from the siren). You have to pour aluminum onto a facecast mold that way you won't have the irregular torn piece at the bottom.
