Thanks. Would love to see a similar video on induction slide in cooking ranges. Love your content!

I have a Viking 36” six burner cooktop. Have had it since the summer of 2016. I love it. Have never had any issues, no service calls in 9 years 👍

I've had a Frigidaire 36 inch induction cooktop for about 18 months with zero issues. I bought it because I previously had a Kenmore Elite induction range made by Frigidaire for 15 years. I only had two issues with it. One was the touch control panel. The other was a bad Induction Power Filter board. A blown was replaced and was back up in no time. It was the ease of repair of the board that sold me. Mostly solid state components on the boards, are easy to source for a repair technician. I would still have the range if my new house wasn't a cooktop .

Thank you for continuing to put out such great content! I'm in the market for a replacement 36" drop-in cooktop to replace the gas model in the home I am moving into --- so this is super timely video. my current place has a 30" Cafe induction range-oven which I love. Two questions: 1. Is there any difference in reliability between Thermador models, in particular the Freedom "full surface" models? I'd be concerned there are more induction generators that could go out. 2. For low reliability on Gaggenau, what is the difference in sales rrelative to Bosch&Thermador? I'd be interested to know if there is sufficient sample size since Gaggenau is a high-end lux brand more so than Thermador & Bosch, so I expect it has lower unit sales numbers (just guessing though - could be wrong).

I'm super intrigued by the freedom full surface Thermador but the price point is quite a jump...

I've been looking for years but haven't found an induction cooktop that has countdown timed shut off like a microwave. My previous Bosch unit had it but they've gotten rid of it now. I loved that feature and want one that has it. Are there any brands that have it?

We just had a Miele induction cooktop installed, and it has this feature. I'm not sure if they all do, but the KM7745 definitely does.

It's not allowed because they don't want you leave the stove unattended (fire), Oddly enough this feature is allowed in electric oven haha

Induction is awful. Lack of versatility in cookware makes it undesirable. Either get an electric heating element stove top, or spring for the griddle top. You'll be happy you did.

I disagree..politely of course, but induction is far better in every aspect of cooking of an electric

What kind of cookware do you have that you have so many problems with induction?
