Thank you for this review Steve. I need the compact size in order to add a shower to my half bath and I don’t mind the slow drying time.

Don't buy a Bosch dishwasher. They have problems with their panels popping off, that they'll do nothing about

I always find your information educational. I have learnt so much about appliances and what to think about. Budget is most important, and you should consider how you would use it-service to but perhaps different from America. Its interesting you don't mention Fisher &Paykel. I am leaning towards miele wall ovens and induction cooktop plus a very good rangehood to capture all nasty fumes

Mold and odor control is #1 issue people complain about, including us. We often forget about washed laundry over night, or forget to leave the door open after taking out wash.

We’re remodeling our kitchen and are between SKS or Thermador package. A flush panel-ready dishwasher is a must for our design. Is the SKS panel ready dishwasher flush to the cabinets? By the way, all of your videos have been extremely helpful throughout this process.

Does anyone felt that washing and drying takes too long like 2 hours of washing and then 3hours of drying on normal cycles. Not sure if its cost efficient. I used yesterday for the first time and not happy with time it takes.

I’ve watched a lot of your videos over the last couple of weeks to inform myself about different appliance options as we renovate our house and the videos have been really helpful and informative. Unfortunately, your comments about Chinese food are ignorant and borderline offensive. It’s ridiculous to say that you don’t like “Chinese food” and that it may poison you when it’s clear that all you know is low quality Chinese food from some late night takeout joint. It’s like a person saying that they don’t like Italian food based solely on a 99 cent pizza by the slice place. And I question why you would bother doing a taste test with food you don’t like. This is really disappointing.
@YaleAppliance13 күн бұрын
My ex girlfriend was Chinese so yes I know Chinese food. I also said I didnt like my moms cooking and I will not eat steak. I hate steak and have never ordered it in a restaurant. I never said I hate Chinese PEOPLE or people who ate steak and I dont hate my mom. Yet, I love 99 cent pizza, even though you don't seem to. I guess we are equally disappointed when I offend people by my personal selections from a video 10 years ago.

Animal fats in detergents cause the build up, odors and bacterial form using too much detergent. You only need 2 tablespoons of detergent in HE washers. Excelsior is a great detergent and you only need 15ml per load.

My Miele just died and I do not want to spend any more $$$$ for 5 years of usage. I am resigned to Change dishwashers and washing machines and driers every 3 to 5 years now. So something less than $1000 will do fine my last Washing Machine this year cost me $1600 and that was because delivery time was a day instead of a week and with a household of four with three working adults that would not be sendible to wait. I see a lot of negative reviews about all dishwashers including the Bosch abd while thst was a preference over the GE I need reliability and performance over wifi etc

Your channel is so informative! I am designing a new kitchen and looking at Bosch induction cooktops and wall ovens. I noticed that the Bosch Benchmark Steam Convection Oven 30'' Stainless Steel HSLP451UC is no longer available, why is that? What would be a comparable wall oven with steam? Do I have to look at other brands? Thank you for your help.

Thank you...wasn't aware of that. For steam, Miele is the leader without question, but LG Studio has a wall oven with a speed oven over steam assist....worth looking into

New house with ERV (air constantly being filtered) and induction, do you still need vent? Basic cooking for small family. Kitchen has 2 exhaust vents with boost button.
@YaleAppliance15 күн бұрын
Where does the exhaust go?
@meg04an5 күн бұрын
@ it goes outside via an ERV system for the whole house. And fresh outside is filtered and pumped into the house constantly.

LG works through contractors too. I had purchased a condo which came with an LG washer. Lucky me it was year 10 of its warranty and the lg washing machine which has (anti vibration) listed on it was vibrating. I called LG and was met with their offshore team who were clueless. They sent me list to local shops they work with. Mind you I’m located 10 min away from Manhattan so im not in some rural area. Either way they said they don’t have LG techs available in my area which I found surprising. I tried the places they recommended but 2 didn’t speak English and the other said they would charge me $350 just for the visit then it would be an additional for labor charge and depending on the part it may not be covered under warranty so it would be out of pocket. Separately I would have had to remove the washing machine tower from my closet prior to their arrival so they could inspect it. They would not be able to remove it themselves and said if I don’t do it they will come charge me for the visit and not look at the machine because it’s considered inaccessible. Meanwhile if I just bought a new machine from Best Buy I’d get installation and hallaway service so I’m not sure how great the other manufacturers warranty’s are but LG was not helpful at all

I’ve dumped my over the range microwave and plan to install an under the cabinet range hood for the very reasons you mentioned in your video. However, I am limited to a 3.25” x 10” duct, because I have a truss directly overhead. I currently have an electric stove, but plan to purchase an induction freestanding range. Do you have any suggestions for a hood. Thanks….
@YaleAppliance17 күн бұрын
do you have room for a duct transition?
@Tbl91127 күн бұрын
@@YaleAppliance1 Thank you for getting back to me. I have 27” from where the top of vent hood where it will mount to the bottom of the cabinet to the truss. I suppose I could transition from 6” to the 3.25” x 10” (if the is such a thing) and then back to 6” once I clear the truss. From there it’s a straight shot up to the vent cap. Do you think that will create too much back pressure limiting flow?

I don't think so.....but check with your HVAC person
