New, nicer angles are possible with the release of three brand-new elements into LEGO's parts catalog! This video goes into detail about how the availability of these new pieces is expected to shape and impact the looks of sets and MOCs (My Own Creations) for years to come. As part of the #buildadVICE series, we suggest some potential applications of these elements to guide your custom LEGO builds.
The three elements are:
5404 Slope 18 2x1x2/3
Available in this set: amzn.to/3XAeCuw
5091 Tile 1x2 with wedge "cutout", left
5092 Tile 1x2 with wedge "cutout", right
Available in this set: amzn.to/3XwGTlH (Flame Yellowish Orange) and amzn.to/4cbgOwJ (Dark Stone Grey)
I was fortunate to pick and choose sets that had nice sample-size quantities of each of these elements. The Ford Anglia set from the Harry Potter line has four of the new cheese slope variant in Light Royal Blue (Bright Light Blue), while the Construction Excavator from the City line has two of each of the wedge cutout tiles.
I am excited by the host of new building techniques that will be made possible with the introduction of these elements into the System. That being said, there are other new pieces that one day I look to cover and go into detail, as future MOCs will certainly depend on them.
