I can't say I've never seen one but apparently the stories are coming that it will use a loved ones voice to try to entice you to it. There was a story of a bunch of boy scouts that was going through the woods when all the sudden with one voice the windigo each kid heard their parents calling them from the same creature. Of course they didn't know it was a creature they thought somehow their parents had got to the camping trip so they all followed the voice and when they got around the tree there was a creature standing there with a deer skull on its head which is a classic wendigo mask. If anything the deer skull with the antlers makes it even creepier. But I'm not sure if that's a true story because in that story they also seen a dog man and the dog man and Wendy go fall over them because he wanted to be the one to feast. I have seen another story on terror in the woods however there seems to be more than one creature because some people say the windigo has deer hooves and other one say it has human feet. Ontario in the woods this creatures are supposedly had deer hooves and it had the skull on and it was it scared the kid and it came to the door talking in his mother's voice. He said he knew it was the creature so he wouldn't get out and answer the door. He told his parents and they didn't believe him because they said a creature like that does not exist therefore you couldn't have seen it. Even though the kid was scared for many many years and would not go out in the woods they still believed that he had a nightmare or something even though he never went to sleep.

Also, i have a request, there's a story about werewolves and i was curious if you could narrate it, theres an episode of the story in the app "dailymotion", the episode is called "Wolfpack" and the show is called "Paranormal Witness", in the episode they basically interview the people who told the story. OMG that is one of my favorites. Where the two guys follow the tracks back to"its" cabin, and even though when the thing was on their roof they followed it to a cabin and a person lived there. Then they went to get their tire fixed or something and it's a small town and he remained in the back. But when he rolled the tire to the main mechanic, there were all these symbols. Also, they caught a glimpse of the"guy/werewolf" in the back of the shop and it was the same guy that was in the cabin. Then the guy died and a sheriff showed the two men that the cabin was empty but there was a second room with chains and restraints. I know this is a shitty way that I'm explaining the episode, but I will never forget that episode. I was left with soooooo many questions in the end. Like was the cabin dude the werewolf? What were the symbols? Or was mechanic dude keeping a werewolf. Please lmk if this is the episode you mean?

Had one of these bastards in my backyard recently. It attacked something, most likely a rabbit. Freaked me out because it sounded so close, and I heard no screams from its prey. Stayed up all night afraid it would smash through a window. When the sun came up and I had to go to work, I saw fur near my back porch, but no blood and no carcass. Honestly I fail to understand why people give up camping over 1 bad encounter with the supernatural or paranormal, don't let that one bad encounter define your outlook on camping, just remember to take a gun and knife with you during future trips, or if you more spiritual, ask Whichever god or goddess you believe in for their protection and guidance against any and all paranormal entities you encounter in the woods, Wendigos included. Also drop the J bomb if you think it helps, some of you might know the Name I am talking about, but in all else, be sensible during such encounters, leave the area the moment you sense things getting bad or worse.

I believe the actual name is windermere valley, near windermere, but the nickname is wendigo valley. It's a small community just down the road from radium. There are a lot of alleged "legendary" wendigo hot spots in Canada but they aren't officially named with wendigo in the title haha. It's usually the local history that develops sort of slang names in these places. I'm friend's with the guy who sent in that story and I'll tell you that he only ever joked about that stuff, he didn't buy into it. He's not as laid back when we go camping now. I've never actually seen him scared of anything in the bush until he told me about that trip, and he practically lives to go out in the bush.

Hey, guys, if anyone here knows about wendigos. And I don't mean this as a joke. I think there's something going on with me. I think I was or am stalked by a wendigo. And, I don't know why a hungry man eating monster would do this, but it spared me, twice. It watches me from the woods at night. I don't know why. I always feel hungry, especially at night. I always want meat, not other food. Just meat. Again, this is no joke, I am serious. I always want more. And I feel like my heart, my chest, and ears, all feel like burning. Like I'm burning inside. And I'm always hungry. I just want to eat and eat and eat. And I'm losing control. Either I'm becoming a wendigo or I'm getting possessed by a spirit of one. I am serious, I mean it.
