If you are worried about camping and having the machines freeze solid, before you shut them down, toss a piece of firewood under the hitch mount to get the track off the ground and spin the track for a bit. This will clear the tunnel and under the drive cogs of wet slushy snow. Then you can either set them down or keep them raised to prevent freezing the track to the snow. Sudden drops in temp can also do that. It won't help if you get snow in the steering - clearing that out can be a time consuming process, but it will keep you going. Also, throw away the 1 1/4" factory track and get a deep snow 2" track. Snowmobiling is fun till you have to walk out. 96 woods studs might be your friend as well.

I notice the hole in the tent door that Joe asked over 2 years ago for tips for repairing the hole is still there. Either Joe has decided to leave the hole as is, or this outing wasn't recent. Hey Joe, I also have a snowtrekker tent 😊. A little tip, when you tie your snow anchors, make your knot well above the snow line. I like a truckers hitch, that way when it freezes, you simply undo the visible knot, then slide the rope through the icy snow around the snow anchor😉

man we watched you because it didnt take big toys or crazy tents or other goodies to do what you do and you were very relatable .... it seems like since you did that 1m viewer countdown video its been nothing but big and flashy and nothing that any of the people who actually followed you for years could realistically enjoy.... you are losing views because you had a fanbase of people who weren't in the best of situations that could go out and do what you do after we watched your vids. but as much as you are moving on from us, a lot of us are moving on from you....thank you for the years of great content though... just hope one day ill see it return to its good spot. there is no such thing as the old joe, you are still the same ol joe we always watched and loved and were excited to see that new video drop, but were not seeing it in your new content man, and you could say maybe its because scout died and that was very sad, and we all fuckin mourned the death of that beautiful amazing soul of a dog. but it wasn't scooter that made the content my dude, it was you. Either way man i really do wish you every bit of the success you deserve for the grinding of years to get to where you are, and also thank you so much for the enjoyment I have personally received from watching your videos and just going out into the woods and trying out your diy lean toos and other really funny, but also very efficient shelter ideas that helped me kill a day off or maybe 3 sometimes :). i would really like to see you pull off a walmart 10 item challenge now after all of the experience you have you may pull out some crazy shit no one was even thinking was useful or something.
