Emerald is ready for a Winter overnight. My children were 11-13 years old when I brought them out for an overnight -25f camp . Only complaint was farting.

I used a Eureka Assault 6 man (only fits 4 with no gear)with a sidewalk construction blanket folded 3 times underneath, carpet, face mask hats and a giant feather bed.

here in usa we put cardboard over out windshields and run the wipers half way up and put socks over wipers--over mirrors and spray PAM on door rubber seals with tape over door locks.

You can buy toe warmers from CT. When you wake up, throw one in each boot to pre warm the toes. And helps dry them out also.

Plates ... split a plank off of a log and flatten the inner side out a tad or even scoop it a tad ... take a branch with a tight Y and you have a plate a fork and your bush knife ... doing the dishes ... toss em in the fire ... easy peasy .... as for the back of your tarp a 3 foot Y branch and a peg paracord off the middle over the Y angled back about 15deg and then peg it out .... and you pull the back out no tree needed ... also if you bring a survival blanket with you layer that on the iside of the tarp shelter and it will reflect the heat of the fire down onto youre sleeping area and keep you warm ... also one under your ground sheet to reflect your body heat back up ... heck you can carry 6 survival blankets or even 9 and make a complete shelter with them ... and they only take up the same amount of room as a wallet
