There are people that think ECHL players are not that skilled. I played with quite a few that were good enough to be in the NHL! Very skilled and competitive. Great. Video. Thanks for sharing.

Almost all d1 players, echl players are elite. I practiced with a professional team and I’m pretty good and they were great hockey players

It's so cool that you are still trying to keep the dream alive! You have awesome technique! I wonder what sets you apart from NHL goalies. Keep playing, man!

@@stephenbailinC7GS Thank you man yes that is me! I’ll try not to go on a long winded rant but it’s mainly because goaltending is such a situation specific position. Because there is only one goalie on the ice for one team at a time it is a lot easier to not get an actual opportunity even if you have the skill to get the opportunity. If the coach likes one goalie and wants to play him in 95% of the games then there’s not much that can be done to change his mind. To add to that my junior career, besides my 19 year old season in Brooks, could have turned out better. In my 20 year old season, which is the most important season, I found out my dad had a rare form of cancer which looking back on it I was not mature enough to handle at the time. On top of that I was playing through a concussion for most of the season which held me out of playing the next season. It was unfortunate but at the same time it has taught me a lot in hockey and in life that I would not have learned if I didn’t go through those scenarios. Currently I’m just training my butt off and waiting to prove the next person right that decides to give me the opportunity to play for them.
