What I’ve noticed is that the opera singing VAL does later on in the video seems to be the same song heard in Frequency Failure (2005), where it is played on a piano. 6:35 DID VAL WINK?!

so basically no one took credit for the singing thing because no one made it VAL made it herself apparently it also has the ability to listen in on conversations even without a microphone as it appears (likely through the user’s brain)

Theory: Euseph is some kind of father figure to V.A.L. which may explained why V.A.L. sing a opera to him. She going into people's brains to know their fears. But for Euseph she give him a nice message to Euseph. But I think she may get betrayed in the later epsiodes.

Y’know, everytime I’m in bed at night, I always keep looking at my TV because if I take my eyes off of it for a while and look at it again, it would show VAL looking at me, and would play the broadcast anomalies to scare the living frick out of me. This is a good example of what would happen if I didn’t look at my TV for a while. This vid was great and scary, good job!

I don't often tend to comment on KZbin videos, but as someone who's tremendously picky with analogue horror, I've gotta say I'm enjoying this a lot so far! Generally speaking, one of my least favourite analogue horror tropes is the use of weird and uncanny distorted faces that are meant to scare/unease the viewer -- lots of times this feels like it's done pretty sloppy with any justification story-wise coming after the fact, and sloppily. Here it's actually representative of something specific, VAL's sentience, making it one of the very few uses of this trope that I actually like (the other that I can recall being Local58's "Real Sleep"). Also if I'm interpreting what's going on here correctly, "AI becomes sentient as a result of monitoring human behaviour/emotion/etc" is a form of the AI becoming sentient story I've always thought was interesting, but I legit never see it. The only time I can remember seeing it for sure is, of all things, Sword Art Online with how the character Yui was originally an AI system meant to monitor players' emotions and adjust the game experience accordingly, but in line with SAO being just generally slop, that only briefly stayed interesting since it basically was just used as backstory and Yui pretty quickly got turned into "Kirito and Asuna's digital child" lol. Which also feels like a weird thing to put in the same pool as TeleBlue since Yui was kind and benevolent and VAL most definitely is not!! The other potential interpretation I've got though is less that and more Donovan intentionally doing some weird fuckery behind the scenes to push VAL towards sentience, though I guess even that could join up with what I'd just mentioned in some way? Oh yeah, and I'm very glad you have captions. Without them lots of dialogue in pretty much any video-based content ends up sliding clean off my brain.
