Would love to see a reunion hunting trip with the former interns. Catch up with everyone. Brody, Dylan, Grant, Gooch.

The best content out these days. Real guys, no script and no sensational fake feeling. Thanks for what you do!

I imagine the trees on the edge of transition are healthier because they are next to an open area where they aren't competing as much for sunlight. Good video guys!

Pre scouting will definitely help. I look for small elm tree grooming(Bucks). They groom them and eat the baby leaves. Food Sources. Travel corridors and pressure trails. I use Lure. Mostly Doe Pee and Dominant Buck Pee. Add some Heat when the Bucks are chasing. You have to be aware of how hard tracks can be to find when the ground is hard or frozen. I try to locate high activity trails. Public Hunting Pressure pushes deer around. Those trails if utilized at the right time. During Pressure will have deer leaving and coming according to the Pressure. Get in and wait for the other guys to kick them up and run one by you. White Oak Acorns are the best food source next to agricultural plants. I've seen deer in soybeans, alfalfa, winter wheat, corn, Milo, Saw Grass, Oats. They like Clover, Turnips, Poison Ivy, Bryars, Sumac, Black Berries, Pecans, Peanuts, Water Cress, Small Elm Trees, Winter Peas and a few other things.

If ever one remembers. Our great grandfather tought us woodsmanship. And told us, this is the key to becoming a great hunter. I wish I could go back to those days spent in the woods with my great and my Dad.

I have been trying to get on a Wisconsin public land trophy since I moved here in 2014. The best sign I have seen so far has been large rubs but I haven't been able to seal the deal yet. Minnesota is another story. I have killed 2 P&Y bucks in that same time frame but still haven't put a trophy buck down due to diligent scouting. Thank you for the great insights and good luck this fall.

Anyone have tips to differentiate elk tracks and deer tracks? I have no experience at all.

Well, I guess it’s easier to tell when the deer track is 2-3 inches long. But how big can a deer print get? When is it too big?
