So happy that i found this channel!! You're a great teacher and i like how you sell high quality samples AND make tutorials how to make them sound different so we're not just drag and dropping :D

I know that there are a few free alternatives to "Rewind" like "Audacity" or "Voicemeter Banana" but I've struggled to record (app specific) system audio with them. Rewind has worked very well for me so far, especially with the drag and drop feature. If you know any cool alternatives, feel free to share them in the comments below ;).

There is a cool plugin called rolling sampler by Bird’s. It kinda has a different use case but I just threw it on the master track and always have a recording everything I’m doing for the last two minutes. It’s $19 and has changed my workflow completely. ❤

You can just use loopback in your audio interface preferences menu. No plugins needed. Just create audio track and hit record.
@xza_old7 ай бұрын
@@rodeointblud yeah I agree that’s another way to do it! I just prefer that plugin I mentioned because it’s always recording so it gathers your happy accidents and you don’t have to purposely press record.

I use Audio Hijack to rip audio snippets from KZbin, you can select app-specific audio for it to record. I’ve been using the free demo mode for years, it gives you 10 minutes of record time before white noise starts to be fed into the recording. Not bad for demo mode. Haven’t tried it with ableton but I’d assume it’d work no problem.

Hey man, really really usefull tutorials ! i discovered rozzer step sequencer yesterday on your channel and today sting, and i dont really get the difference between the two ? maybe its simple as, rozzer is for audio loop with slice mode on simpler and hit random to let magic appear ? while sting is kind of the same but with one shot and drum rack right ?
@paulbonvalot99497 ай бұрын
maybe one of the two is better to creat groove on an already existing one in our project ?
@lotustunesacademy7 ай бұрын
Hey man, just replied to your email: Both are sequencers, that means both serve the exact same purpose of outputting MIDI information. While sting has a very simple and fun interface, rozzer is more "advanced" in the sense that you can manipulate each step's position. Sting's intended use is for basslines and rozzer I love using for sliced drum sequences. There is a paid version of sting that allows you to control each step just like rozzer: www.ableton.com/en/packs/time-timbre-skinnerbox/ Hope this helped! Best, Zahand

If you right click the sample you want to import from the browser a context sensitive menu appears allowing you to "slice to new..."
