At first i was thinking like duhhhh this is common knowledge.... but then again maybe not. Keep putting these out...the generations need them

I completely agree however like you said maybe not. Common sense is not too common. Many people are unaware of what manners are as well which is very sad.

My grandma and mother rasied me to always say "thank you", "please", "your welcome", "should I help pay for dinner?", Excuse me" or "I beg your pardon", And I was raised to never slurp my tea or soup, to always keep my back straight while sitting down. My grandmother and mother were huge on manners!!

You sound absolutely refined. You, and the Luxe babe, are two of the very few people I look up to, and desire to imitate. Manners go a long way. I was thinking that the three words you were going to discuss were words I may not use a lot. Funnily enough, I always use those three words the same way you do. No matter their position, I always use the titles: Sir, Madame, and Miss. Thank you for uploading a simple, but educating video. How I wish for people to see this. I subscribed immediately! I couldn't help it, and to think that this is the first video I ever watched of you.

+strazyweirdom Thank you for watching! I am so glad this video is the first one you came across, because this video definitely sets the tone for my entire channel! Manners and etiquette are so important, and they certainly make a difference! I was inspired to make this video because those three phrases are often not exchanged in today's modern times, but I hope we can bring them back and make them commonplace again. I've got some fun etiquette videos coming up, I can't wait to share them! Stay tuned! 😊

Thank you for watching! Well, I used to compete in pageants so I had lots of practice. I just smile after every two or three words. When I was in the pageantry world, I would practice talking in the mirror with a smile and I could see what my face looked like as I was speaking. Now, it's just a habit! :) Keep me posted on how you practice and I can't wait to hear if you come up with another trick that is helpful!

Peace be to you! I'm one of your subscribers! These are very common phrases! However, so many people don't use them. It's been my observation that unfortunately, good manners seem to deemed as being "upity" 😤 or even a sign of "weakness" (😕😰) among men (esp. us "bruthaz" 😅). I'm determined to practice good etiquette, though, and espouse this upon my children. I would very much like to see the return of the concept of "ladies" and "gentlemen", practiced in our society (among both women AND men). This needs to become "normal" behavior again. Thank you so MUCH, for all that you do! You are a Godsend! 😊👍🏾👩🏾‍💼

I think part of that is bc many see it as a weakness or it can cause others to perceive them as naive or a pushover. I read a study that said people who smile are seen as easy to manipulate. Those who have a harder look are seen as moe respectable.

Even if your parent's didn't model for you, which all do to a certain extent you should have just picked it up in the culture. The problem is kids want to have their own style of communicating and their parents never correct them. I picked them up from the church and reading The Proverbs.

Hi Nicole, yes I will be making a video on this topic soon! Stay tuned! In the meantime, being a lady means always doing the right thing and treating others with respect. +Tasha Marks Thanks for watching, Tasha! A lot of our verbal communication is all about how we say what we say. So when saying "You're welcome" in a positive, upbeat tone, it will likely be well-received compared to angrily saying "You're welcome" while being upset! Maybe you can just try it, to say the two words in a cheerful tone of voice, and notice how people respond and how you feel saying it!

The comment section is just people in earlier generations or this generation who think that "those damn milenials don't know manners! " and are grumbling about how "these new generations need videos like this! " when in reality most of the people I know say please and thank you. The new generations aren't all or even mostly jerks, you just like feeling superior and you use the fact that you were born at a different time to do so.

Hey Modern Lady, I like the content of your video. I would be the face of the poster for this channel, smh so sad. I just wanted to make a comment about you. You are very beautiful and your background is amazing but you seem like you're reading something off a computer or something. If you would loosen up and have more fun with what you are talking about I think you may have an even bigger impact than you have now. Either way I'm subscribed. I'm trying to be a lady, lol but it might be too late. Ugh I hate ppl who leave paragraphs, sry. 🤗

You're so much more natural nowadays than your older videos. This seems scripted lol Fyi the Ritz Carlton trains to never say you're welcome but "my pleasure" they would scowl at you're welcome🤷🏽‍♀️
