One of your best outings ever, made more interesting due to your continuous on-camera updates of the heaviest five fish. That 2.99 didn’t seem to excite you as much as I would have been so must ask: How many Clearlake 3-pound crappie have you caught over the years? I’ve personally have never seen a 3-pounder. Seems you out fished your boat mates at least 3 to 1, causing me (and other discerning crappie anglers I’m sure) to wonder…why? What was different? Line size and type, i.e., 4 lb vs 6 lb test; fluoro vs mono? Braid? Reel size…all 1000 class? Double jig rigged with 1/16 on top and bottom; or 1/8 on bottom, 1/16 on top? We never saw size of the schools on screen y’all were casting to so perhaps casting accuracy made a difference. Lastly, after schools disappear from your live-scope screen, what is your technique for relocating them? As always, big thanks for taking the time to reply to my inordinate number of inquiries. Info you share helps me a ton!
@fishingaddict5638 Жыл бұрын
I think overall I was just in an exited mode because of all the big fish we were catching. This was only the 3rd 3 pounder I've ever caught. As far as the catch rate, I think I'm reeling in a lot slower then the other two. My wife and I were using identical setups with two 1/16th jigs, 1000 size reel and 6 pound Fluro. With Live Scope if the fish gets too far then just head toward them and you'll usually find them. They swim constantly but the schools don't move that fast. It's all good, I have no problems answering question and as always I appreciate your support.
