How do I find out how to contact the music libraries?
@SyncMyMusic6 жыл бұрын
You can research them for yourself, or you can join Sync Edge to get an insider's approach to getting a contract.

Aloha from Big Island Hawaii Jesse!!! Early sub. Really enjoy your mentorship. Learning to produce. Thinking of joining syndicate soon. Are you a Taxi member?
@SyncMyMusic6 жыл бұрын
Glad you're enjoying the channel! I was a Taxi member over a decade ago when I had a rock/metal band, but we only kept our membership for a few months.

Is it a bad idea to send a cue to a library instead of an entire track?
@ussoccerrisingstars3175 жыл бұрын
so there are fewer libraries now paying upfront fees for music?
@SyncMyMusic5 жыл бұрын
Yes because many Non Exclusive Libraries turned into Exclusive ones but didn't start including Consideration Fees in their business models.
@ussoccerrisingstars3175 жыл бұрын
@@SyncMyMusic I see but do you the new libraries turning exclusif will eventually adjust and start paying upfront fees? Or do you think the exclusive ones that were all ready paying upfronts will stop doing so?
@ussoccerrisingstars3175 жыл бұрын
@@SyncMyMusic I am planning on subscribing in sync edge at the end of this month and I wanted to know if let say I make a song and make 2 or 3 version of it, would the exclusive libraries pay me an up front $ for 1 song or would they also pay for each version of the song?
@SyncMyMusic5 жыл бұрын
@@ussoccerrisingstars317 That's hard to predict because it all comes down to how many composers are willing to submit Exclusive tracks without expecting a consideration fee. If most producers are ok with it, more Libraries will stop offering them. If high quality producers stop submitting tracks to Libraries that don't offer them, then some Libraries will have to stay paying them to compete in the marketplace.
@SyncMyMusic5 жыл бұрын
@@ussoccerrisingstars317 Only 1 fee per track -the alt-mixes and stems are included in that fee.

Peace Jesse.....I've subscribed and joined and your insight is beyond helpful.... I've hit a wall though.....should I trademark my moniker before setting up my website or is that even a factor
@SyncMyMusic6 жыл бұрын
A trademark is expensive and unnecessary unless you have LOTS of public exposure (which you don't have in the licensing business).
@999allthetime55 жыл бұрын
Is it recommended to copyright your tracks before submitting to libraries?
@SyncMyMusic5 жыл бұрын
You create a Copyright the minute you put your tracks into a tangible medium (mp3, WAV, CD, etc.)

I really love and appreciate this information but the background noise and fidgeting makes it nearly impossible to focus.

Hey! I'm a new follower. I LOVE your content. I have a question about my ability as a 'producer'. I have great music, I know it's good. But I am mainly a vocalist/songwriter/composer who plays by ear. I don't have much technical training. Is there room for me in this field with sub-par engineering skills? Like I can create the outline of a great song and have someone else mix/master it? Or do i need to be all-in-one to be a contender. I hope you're able to see this. I'm so thankful I ran across this channel!
