So, let me understand... If you are telling us that FlutterFlow sucks in many ways, why your company Ambitious Labs teaches FlutterFlow to its students. Shouldn't you be teaching them a tool that is actually worth their while learning? Another question... you mentioned in your video that FlutterFlow is NOT a no-code tool, but you portray FlutterFlow on the Ambitious Lab 's site as the best no-code tool, which is why you are teaching it. It seems to me that this video and what you are trying to sell on Ambitious Lab contradict each other. Could you please elaborate on this?

Problem #1 really is only a problem if you're trying to do eCommerce or you were hoping you wouldn't have to manage your app and website workflows separately. Flutter's own web specific documentation states that for document style or rich text content, like marketing content, landing pages, blog posts, product pages, etc, that utilizing HTML based pages is best for that. I wouldn't consider this a performance issue. This is a feature limitation of Search Engine Indexing.

I rarely click the "Dislike" button as I see it as destructive and pointless. However, for this video, unfortunately, I had to click on it. Point #1 (or rather argument #1) is not really a valid argument, as it is not the fault of the Flutter framework. Each tool/framework has its intended purpose, and if you do not respect that, you have no right to blame said tool/framework and/or the team behind it. To help the analogy, you cannot use a small SMART car to haul a mobile home trailer, and then blame the company for building n unfit car. You have simply used it for a purpose which is other than intended when the car was developed. I hope you see the point I am making!

Yes, but if you need bluetooth for your project and FF doesn't support the basic ble communication, this is very bad. Any app builder should first support some basic stuff and then make it nicer, easier, etc. I have a PRO license and in some month I didn't even manage to get a list of connected devices and scanned devices. They say the Flutter_Blue_Plus package functions should work but later they told that they didn't test it and they also found that the first function isBluetoothEnabled didn't work in FF due to the limitations of Google!?!

I dont mind number #3 its the same with Webflow had a client who requested that we build their site in webflow and for some of the things they requested we had to add code we were all shock at first but understood in the end the only true way to be no code is if you import a template and switch out the images and text but leave everything else

flutterflow is laggy, cant event center a single text inside a container it doesnt works, also you drop a container or any layout you cant see where is the container or layout that you actually dropped because there is not even let you set a background color in it so you can have any idea what are you doing.

Previous Adalo user here. I moved from it to Flutterflow. Adalo has very poor performance, and has very big limitations on what you can do even if they say so you can. The main advantage for me in Adalo is that it is a pure Drag and Drop builder wireframe style canvas, while FF you still need to adjust locations, paddings, etc... sort of HTML/CSS style while Adalo makes it much simpler. FF has more powerful features and, things can you cannot do outside of the box you can always do code while Adalo NOT. Also the new Adalo pricing is just insane, they shot themselves in the foot.I would just use it for quick MVP/Wireframing. All my apps now are in Flutterflow.

Great question. Depends. Airbnb uses SEO to index their properties using terms like “log cabin for rent in aspen”. PrizePicks, the product I previously built - did not have any SEO on the app itself because the data changes so fast, but our marketing team leveraged webflow for content heavy sites. If your app has a lot of dynamic data, likely not. If it’s static and has content people could search for, then yes.

Hmmm I didn't really understand your point on web apps. Is it the performance that sucks or simply SEO indexing? I care about the former and not at all about the latter. We're running a lot of video content and aim to be web-first. Weweb wasn't as straightforward I found.

I reckon it's more SEO indexing, which is a legitimate problem. Not gonna kill many apps. But google ranking for sales listings to drive traffic seems to take a big hit. If you don't neeeeed Google clicks to a direct page in your app. Outside of that it's mobile first so it a native experience with native performance

The video is obviously a satire ad campaign for your business and flutterflow but genuinely you are wrong. For real industry app development you should not be using a tool like flutterflow, low code or no code solutions are limited and very "template" heavy. If you every want to stand out or be unique you should just learn the language. On top of this flutterflow generated code is awful. Absolutely terrible. Flutterflow is a waste of time and money for anyone who wants to do serious projects or development and at this point even fun projects. There almost no customizability and the projects you create are not scalable. Instead of roping people into a technology that ACTUALLY (not sarcastically), isn't meant for them, why not just teach them how to code in flutter and make a bag giving people real tools. Is it just that it's easier to market this to people who don't know how to code or. is it that you don't actually know how to code? Genuinely curious.

I myself often think about teaching AI software development instead of flutterflow, but the truth is FlutterFlow is a great beginner friendly app development tool that gives people the confidence they need to venture deeper. AI development is rather daunting for the average beginner. Its absolutely par of the vision to create AI engineers, not just flutterflow devs. I believe there are many segments in the market to serve, and this segment is one that i am the best at.

@@ambitiouslabs So if I'm understanding correctly the goal is to build a foundation with flutterflow and then branch out into AI assisted software development. I do think that this is a great idea to reduce the curve to people entering the software dev scene or for people who want enough knowledge to build their own projects for fun without a heavy programming background. At the same time why not get people started on HTML, CSS, and JS. That stack is pretty entry level and you could branch into teaching react, and end off at AI assisted coding. I think flutter is a great tool but it's out paced by react. If it's the fact that it's scary for beginners to see pretty much any code at all you could build a simple drag and drop HTML element learning/education site to teach people a little about how elements work. I just think getting beginners into flutterflow is like leading them into a box where the only way out is the same way you came in. They don't really learn any programming fundamentals, so if they ever want to venture outside of that box they're forced to pretty much rebuild their knowledge from scratch.
