I had a hawley retainer that lasted 17 years! The good thing about these retainers is they allow your bite to settle because your teeth touch and if you have dental work done, like a crown, they can be adjusted easily to fit.

I have not used mine for a year and now my teeth shifted. I still can wear it but it is super tight. Should I start to use it again?

@@tanvirina You could wear them full time for 2 weeks which will move your teeth back into position and then afterwards wear them at night only. But only do this if they still fit. A little tightness is fine.
