The perfect balance of street and mainly artist that was very believable...was 50 Cent. He was the perfect balance of that. I think Casanova couldve been another as well...if he wasn't still gang affiliated. I feel like it's because 50 was honestly "street guys" worst nightmare. 50 doesn't seem like he is straight up evil. He kind of bullys the other street guys actually, and he isn't really someone you can just punk. They can't really deny that he doesn't play, and they can't really gain power over him. He is the kind of guy that has respect from the street guys, but he isn't just hanging out in the hood for no reason blasting the "ops" for clout or some shit and leaving himself wide open. He seems like it's best to just let him be 50. Like, "who the fuck is that dude?", "aw that's boo boo he's cool". Like if you got a problem with him, then you end up with a real problem, so it's best to just give him a pass.

Because NY soft and nobody outside NY is gonna take " drill" outside NY seriously. It's the safest big city in America. Most ppl outside NY think it's soft. What makes a rapper certified is when they from a area like Detroit,Chicago,Memphis, etc. Aside from parts of Jersey,Philly, DC and Baltimore ppl think the east coast on general is soft AF. King Von wouldn't be Von if he was from NY. It wouldn't hold weight. Chicago has a graveyard full of rappers and STILL had a decade run. So losing ONE artist shouldnt have tanked NY like that. Rip but Pop Smoke was not a gangster. Maybe in NY but anywhere else? Be for real? Dude got pistol whipped and popped butt naked in Beverly Hills by a 8th grader. That would NEVER happen to a rapper from Baton Rouge or Detroit. If your entire movement is based off one person you failing. And tbh,I never heard of dude or anyone playing his music when he was alive. I only heard of him after he got popped. Drill only belong on one place and that the Raw and I ain't even from there.
