3 reasons not to buy the Ather 450S. First, your daily commute. We believe you need 3 days of range for an electric scooter to fit neatly into your life. People riding more than 30km every day will be forced to make sure you charge overnight, and the slow charger will not help. If you ride a lot, the 450S' smaller battery will be in your way. Second, comfort. Ather's scooters are sporty in feel and that means sharp reactions over the bumps that you might like, but your family may not appreciate. If you're going to share the scooter with older parents, for example, the Ather isn't the happy choice for all. Third, price. Athers have always been expensive, so is the 450S. This doesn't mean the value proposition is, by itself, weak. But it's not an easy purchase because of the prices... this has always been the case for India's third-largest electric scooter maker.

Those are only 1.5 reasons for me. You want your vehicle to make you feel the road and let you know if tyres will stay gripped or not. And price is still little more with pro pack and all but its worth for what we are getting.

Ather should stop playing gimmicks with charging speed inorder to force customers in buying pro pack. They are literally losing customers to ola because of this.

Last week I rode the Ather 450X. I was fitting perfectly in this scooter and the rode experience is really good. The riding modes does have a lot of difference when opening the throttle and the hill hold is very useful. But the motor whine noise is a lot, brakes are also sharp especially when rear brake is applied hard and lock the wheel gets locked. That's what I felt after riding it.

Chasing Honda for test bikes for ~8 months at this point. But from our previous testing experience, it doesn't stand. It never has.

Main thing is it just doesn’t justify its price, TVS X is a way better choice over Ather Apex, in lower and mid range Ola and Chetak are better choice… I had Ather and found nothing so special in it, it is made in India product but looting us like a foreign brand, they are cheaters in that sense.

If it's inside the city, look for bounce intinity. It has a swappable battery tech. Or you can buy two of their batteries and easily get more than 120.

More reasons If damaged after warranty. Battery cost 1,00,000 re Indicator 22,000 re Charger handle 4000 re Internal charger part 15,000 re Insurance won't cover for damage Also, technicians have no clue about any part. It's little better in ICE engines.😅

I own 1 and I will say that if you have long daily commutes, don't buy it. If you want to buy it as a backup vehicle or for short commutes around the neighborhood, go for it. It is unreliable due to software bugs and terrible after sales support.

im s1 air owner and ill recommend it , and didnt gave me any issues , just keep 1 thing if u r buying a machine u have to be educated about it coz evs are new not all are properly educated about them and pointing false accusations over them . coz we all know about petrol ones and in beggining no one also knew about them properly.
