We wanted a single wide for the reasons you’ve mentioned! It’s going to cost us $2500 to move our home. We’ve also been able to afford high end materials while remodeling because it’s not too big. We love being outside so when we move that’s where we will spend our money. My husband wants a lake, I want a pool, huge garden, outdoor kitchen with a fireplace, and my daughter just want animals lol 😂. There are so many people buying mobile homes now I’ve had 5 buyers stop by trying to find used mobile homes. My home is a 1984 but you can’t tell because of all the remodeling we’ve done.

I have a one acre tract that I can easily fit three singlewides,possibly four.They would definitely costs a lot less than a double wide.I also have a double wide on a one acre tract,which takes up a lot of space.So singlewides are a much better buy,if you plan to be an investor.Singlewides come in three bedrooms,two baths which is plenty of room for a family of four.I can buy two singlewides for the price of a double wide.Just something to think about,I have been on both sides of the fence so I know what I am talking about.

Are you able to fix and flip mobile homes on the lot it’s already on? Moving one is only required when you find a vacant spot somewhere else with cheaper lot rent right?
