Hey Can, I commented on one of your other videos on getting started and not needing to spend a fortune out of the gate. Your honesty was much appreciated and I mentioned that I decided on the Ocularis for my grandson and one for myself. Had no idea at the time that it was actually one of your personal top picks!! Well, they arrived this morning. My 10 year old grandson has no idea and I'm going to let him do the "unboxing". Lol We're going to start out with clay until he gets a little experience shooting. My Ocularus is waiting for me at home. I ordered it after I dug out my ancient Marksman wrist rocket that I never actually ever used, lugged it along on my Northwoods vacation, used it to chase away pesky squirrels, realized, “wow, a slingshot could be better and more fun than my pellet gun if only I could learn more about slingshots” which eventually led me to Simple Shot which today led me to your video via their email. Perfect example of how everyone has their own favorites. The axiom was the only sling I didn’t care for. No aiming dimps to speak of. I disliked the ball and grommet setup. I like their flip clip slings much better. Glad you enjoyed it! Great review.

I just got my Ocularis. Nice frame, I haven’t quite got the bands tuned yet. Unfortunately, with exchange rates, shipping fees etc I ended up paying $70.00 Canadian for a $35.00 slingshot so I won’t be buying anything from the USA any more. Is there a good Canadian site for slingshots & accessories?

Shooting rocks can be tricky with any slingshot. It can be done. The Ocularis can be used to shoot rocks. I would advise to shoot it in the OTT configuration.

I bought the axiom ocularis in green a couple of months back and have no intention of replacing it with anything other than than the axiom ocularis LE if they ever make it to the UK. Its claimed the lives of hundreds of cans, a glass bottle (satisfying but messy) 2 pigeons and a rat.

Can I put those black tube loop bands on it? The ones at simple shot and also what is the ideal ammo in your opinion 3/8 or 7/16 or maybe both?

Thanks for the question brother! I recommend using flat bands on the Ocularis. The Torque by SimpleShot, would be my recommendation for using tube bands. As far as 3/8 or 7/16 ammo, either can be used with the proper band set. I have a video that sort of gives my take on ammo size. kzbin.info/www/bejne/nHbGiGOfbc6pkLM. Hope this helps!

Well, I know this might not help but they are both great frames. They both are very unique. I guess it will come down to band attachment. If you do not like to wrap and tuck you might want to grab the Ocularis.
