4 years in Canada and I and my young family have a clear cut plan to retire to Nigeria in the next 8 year. Since we made this decision and started working towards it actively by living a FIRE (Financial Independence Retire Early) lifestyle here in Canada, my menal health have improved significantly and nothing really faze me again in Canada because I see the end in sight God willing. If you know how money works then this should be a no-brainer decision for you. Thank FLO for your active campaign and this great community you are creating

This is a "catch 21" situation in my opinion. You, on one hand want to help your loved ones while on the other pray for the end of the evil country called Nigeria . The politicians in Nigeria work daily to destroy the very goal that we, in the diaspora ,toil religiously to achieve . This is a band-aid solution to the problem of Nigeria. The evil country needs to break up so that the poor citizens can start their lives afresh. I love my people but hate that evil ungodly nation.

The opposite is true, Flo. More and more businesses are leaving Nigeria due to severe insecurity problems in the banana republic . For us living outside of the country, returning home to invest and uplift our people is a good thing but can be a death-trap. The Fulanis are bent on a "jihad " to islamise the whole country through kidnappings and genocidal acts, like starving non-Fulani communities by destroying their farmlands. Once again, the only solution is the desolation of the country. Every year, Nigeria slides backwards five years, on the average. It's a no-win situation , sorry to say.
