Let's see: Democracy, however flawed, we fought for centuries to have the right to vote. The best way to prevent destructive ideologies from taking power is through early childhood education about voting. During the Socratic Trinity, Plato talks extensively about this idea in his book: The Republic.

Currently in the United States the choice is being made between aggression, brute force and wisdom. And so far the polls say that aggression and brute force are winning.

Well, yes, that’s all true, but every government is put in charge by those with power. You don’t want those who want power to be in charge they will abuse it. If the people have the power to govern, at least there’s a chance the government will work for the people.

Socrates also said that the wisest and most intelligent people should be in charge in governments. The question would be why would the strongest and most aggressive of human beings allow that? We live in a world where intelligence and strength rule, not wisdom.
