Thanks as ever Gareth. I'm all in on typeform as I love the UI and also use videoask which is seamlessly integrated (ISH). I'm definitely goi g to look at Jotform as I like the Stripe payments capabilities you showed here

Hey John, thanks for watching! Yes, I agree that typeform has the greatest UI! It was the first to catch my eye, but the extra functionality that Jotform provides was undeniable.

Thanks Tommy! 🤜🤛 You probably know this already, but I really do love JotForm and use it to run GAP Consulting - it's an integral part of our intake process...

Love and appreciate your videos. I'm helping my teacher's union local build our membership database in Airtable. I want to make a form with a list of potential members that I can give to volunteers to outreach to. So they'll be filling in info that will go into multiple entries in our AT database. To do that do I need a separate form builder software (Jotform, etc.) AND an interfacing program like Zapier? I'm worried we can afford 3 separate paying subscriptions to do this task.

If ALL of this data will live in one single Airtable base, but on different tables, you can build a placeholder form that collects all the data you need. Then use an automation to take this form submission and parse out the data to the related tables within your base. This way you'll avoid a 3rd part form software AND the automation software costs. This video was created before Airtable automations had evolved to their current state, sorry!

Good reasons! I don’t have 3rd party forms and resorted to building logic on the webpage that links to different forms based on conditions and those forms redirect to payment schemes. It works but it’s not the best customer experience if they have to enter some info twice in different places. I don’t like paid 3rd party tools, especially if they rely on other paid 3rd party tools like Zapier. Something inevitably breaks and causes a meltdown. Perhaps there is more that can be done with Airtable automations to parse complex forms to multiple tables. I always feel I need to be doing more with automations.

Great feedback! I don't suffer from broken tools very often, but I suppose the data that you collect in your forms could contribute to more bugs, depending on what you're doing with your forms! I'm personally really happy with JotForm, but I know there are a lot of options!

We've tried Cognito Forms and Jot form and really like Cognito, but neither service offers a bidirectional sync with Airtable or even a "search for record" option through Zapier. This is critical for dynamic dropdown data in the form coming from other sources. Neither Cognito or Jotform can answer if this is on their roadmap, or give a date. Anybody have any ideas, workarounds or suggested options? I wish someone would just make a great form front end that ties seamlessly to Airtable, and let Airtable do what they do best... now Jotform is trying to compete with Airtable with their tables, but without the experience and functionality!

Is it possible to transport data via zapier directly into airtable?
@GarethPronovost4 жыл бұрын
Yes, but where does the data originate?

not to my knowledge! 🤷♂️

Can Jot Forms integrate with Airtable?
@GarethPronovost4 жыл бұрын
Yes, there's a native integration but I don't like it very much because of the way it works with linked tables. I prefer to use a Zapier integration to push data from JF into AT, but that's just my preference!
