Anything you can do on shoes! I have SUCH a hard time picking shoes, I’m so bored with what I have, and I’m often uncertain the best way to pair them.

It’s so true about the tailoring, I grew up in a traditional Hispanic household, (my mom was born and raised in early 50s Mexico) and I grew up always having my clothes tailored. She always thrifted my clothes and either had a lady tailor them or she would do it herself. She and ny grandmother taught me how. I didn’t realize it was uncommon to know how to tailor your clothes! This is an awesome series!

How can I learn? Any tips I really want to learn how to tailor my own clothes!

For me, most of my tops are fun colors or patterns, and most of my bottoms are staples. I find it much harder to style a plain top with patterned bottoms, but that’s just how it works for me. I honestly love my wardrobe right now and it seems I was following most of these tips! Can’t wait for the next video in this series🥰

I’m the same about dresses! I can’t get myself to wear plain dresses. I must have florals! As for plain outfits, accessories are where it’s at! Statement jewelry, fun purse, fun shoes!

This series came at the perfect time!! I have been really upset with my wardrobe for the past couple of months and it definitely needs to be refreshed lol.

Needed this video! I love neutrals, but every time I look at my closet lately all I see if beige, black, and white! I've been wanting to refresh and add some more prints and colors and have some fun!

For me it's not printed patterns but having so much fall and wintery clothes mainly because I absolutely love winter😆 I definitely have noticed after my first vacation to Hawaii this past week that I really need to figure out my summery style😅

I love the way you talk about fashion intelligently compared to most fashion bloggers who seem to have no knowledge of construction, fit, or material. I will say, the idea of pruning my wardrobe seems good in essence, but with the pandemic I worry about pruning too much to get rid of pieces I might want to wear once I can go outside again. It's a dilemma for sure.

Guess what sis i cleaned out my wardobe on the weekend. Now it looks so clean taking out the pieces i never wore in two months. You are so down to earth, amazing, loving , caring and adorable. Take care and Be safe. Love you sis. 💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕

Here's a video idea for you. When I'm thrift shopping I often find bags/purses by brands I'm unfamiliar with. How do you gauge the quality in a bag? (Without buying the big names like MK or Coach.) What should you look for in the construction? How can you tell if the style is classic or a has been trend? Where is a good place to find bags, is online better than thrift stores? How can you tell how much life is left in a bag? Is there a way to repair scuffs in leather? Lol, if you ever need video ideas just contact me. I always have 101 questions!

Thank you sonmuch for normalising that syle can change. Alot of content creators talk about establishing wardrobes to last a decade or more! Wondered why I no longer liked something I used to love.
@saniaf2583 жыл бұрын
I think majority of the creators making those videos are talking about basics which I feel like should last you a loooong time but every now and then it’s good to buy something to experiment with- based on a style you’re gravitating towards. Just not excessively :)

omg i love the idea of this series. i always struggle with making an outfit look cool instead of just combining pieces the way i usually do, so can't wait for your tips. and i 1000% agree about the fit thing. I am about 5 1' and i have sloped shoulders as well as a more slim hourglass build and most tops are too baggy/ long/ or do this weird pucker up thing at that empty space on top where more broad shoulders would fill it in (and not puffy shoulders in the cute way lol)

Jessica, have you ever thought of trying to do a "wear everything in my wardrobe" challenge? See how long it takes to wear all your clothing without repeating a single item. I also think it would be a good way to see what you really love and want to keep and the thing's you need to get rid of.

I love all your videos and am excited for this series! :) Maybe you could do a video helping with the mindset of letting things go/decluttering/culling through your wardrobe for those of us who have not really gone through their things regularly and just have a bunch of clothes from all the past years, but not wearing it (aka me lol)... basically I have a hard time letting things go & need tips!

I'm really excited about this series! (in desperate need of it too haha) One of my personal biggest struggles when it comes to clothes is being pretty curvy on all sides except for the hips. Basically all skirts and dresses look really odd because of it and it's really annoying :(

I love tailoring my clothes, especially my pants (I'm curvy, so my hips and butt are bigger than my waist and I have to buy my bottoms 2 sizes larger and have them taken on the waist). I swear, tailoring has changed my fashion game!

Reason 1: super agree. i always check my wardrobe once a year usually before dec. and you know what happen next. I give it away!!! Saving me alot of money plus i give alot of things to so many people/friends. With this tradition, i feel like im allowed to buy new clothes again for the next year simply because ive been generous to others too 😂 been sending stuff to the philippines too (i live in the UK) people there are very appreciative with whatever you give them. Just a nice tradition every year im happy to teach my children someday. Suggestion: ive heard about a thrift store in alabama that sells stuffs from lost luggages. Theyre selling stuff with great quality. (I just goggled how far are you from alabama 😮😮- too far) but i think its nice for you to feature that shop.

I find I’ll often thrift a great piece, wear it once or twice and wash it. Then I’ll put it on and hate it 🤣🙃 so idk what the even means. But it will be hard to give away because I loved it for that brief moment in time. I edit constantly too 🤣🙃 ohh FIT there you nailed it 👏

I'm 28 now and I've the feeling I'm to old for my wardrobe. I have to many basics and wear a basic longsleeve with jeans and sneekers way to often.... on the other hand I live in a college town and work for the university so that is basically the style, with the add in of a good rain jacket. I look more than a college student than I should. But I'm kind of in a styling rut, sometimes I just want to get rid of everything and start compleatly from nothing. An I'm more on the curvy side so I tend to buy something just because it fits, only to not wear it.

Honestly most people don't know how to fit themselves. They don't understand how things are supposed to fit. They buy items and then find themselves tugging at an item all day long. So many time I want to say something and I realize it's none of my business. My daughters have said that they like taking me with them when shopping because i know what to look for. That everything they get when I am with them is something they wear often.
@erinnlinn60363 жыл бұрын
I was going to say the same thing! A lot of people have no idea what fit is.

I’m a teen and have no idea what my style is. My closet is full of random stuff I don’t wear. I have no where to buy sweaters or hoodies wichi a what I like wearing so I just wear stuff I’m uncomfortable In. I also keep buying clothes and I just don’t end up wearing them. I go thru my closet and throw out a bunch of stuff and I just keep getting piles of clothes I don’t wear because I just keep buying and buying and don’t end up wearing them I have no idea what to do
