#3 is HUGE! Times flies and it’s just too easy to justify all that free time as personal growth, but the only real personal growth comes from responsibility and challenge. Even worse, habits become stronger with age. Get out as soon as you can. The start will be rough, but it’ll get easier with time.

I moved out at 18 and learned how to budget and manage time. Was it the more difficult route, yes, absolutely, but I decided for myself that I would much rather not be controlled by my super religious conservative parents during all of my 20s. There comes a time in every young adult's life when they need to decide what's a priority for them, Freedom at the cost of an easy, comfortable life or an easy, comfortable life at the cost of freedom. It was a very humbling experience and now I'm 30, living my best life.

Coming from someone who didn’t move out till their 27th birthday - Don’t do it! Your life is too short. When your 18-23 in college full time it’s not so bad since you mostly can’t afford it at the moment, but after that your missing out on your life. Had things been different, I would miss the benefits of living at home - having a big down payment for a house.
@AdultingShouldntSuck
@AdultingShouldntSuck Жыл бұрын
We agree, you’re missing out on some important years of your life if you stay at home too long! Unfortunately, most people aren’t saving up large sums of money when they’re staying at the parents for longer periods of time. They’re buying things they don’t necessarily need, traveling, and other things.

I stayed home because I was already in school and to focus on that as well as improving my physical and mental health. I just got my BA in December, just got a Decent Public Sector job to do while getting my MBA. -I want to move out so My dog can roam freely lol My dad is actually great about giving me space. *I really decided to move out after listening to the Ranger show and he discussed things you discussed: how much growth and learning is done when living on your own. Moved out at 18, Although i still live with my parents seasonally to help with the busy months on the farm. Keep in mind everyone's situation is different, if you are taking on noteworthy responsibilities to provide for your family it is not the same things. These guys assume you will be doing degenerate activities so why do those at your parents house? That makes sense if you think about it like a tool. As long as your actions are not degenerate and you are providing for others it does not matter where you rest your head to sleep.

What about us parents? Some of us sacrificed for years to pay for our kids college education/ living expenses etc. We hoped that if we did this that our adult children would be able to support themselves. How long are parents expected to provide for their adult children? I know mom and dad’s house is comfortable and easy, but it’s time to take care of yourself! Of course if there’s a special need, us parents will be there for you, but to just move back into your parents house to make your life easier is just not fair!

It’s not that simple parents think once you reach a certain age you should just know what to do automatically it’s easy for the parents to tell their kids to move out when they live comfortably in their home and have a stable career it’s not as easy to get a job and make money like it used to be when you were younger this is a different generation money isn’t just growing on trees I think parents should be more considerable and understanding

He’s so sick and tired because he’s been told what to do his whole life because that’s what parents do lol I’m only 20 but I understand the importance of moving better than anyone. I’m moving out next week. Scary but I have to because I want to live and breath without my mhm watching me and what I’m doing. I want to do what I want whenever the fuck I want to. Your 50 now mate, I don’t want to sound harsh but your parents don’t have long on earth. It will probably be better to move out and get use to not having them around. Of course you might to help them to the end but that’s what my dad anyways and he purchased the house 50/50 with his mum and that’s because He wanted to secure her but he regrets. I'm 22 and I have started my music career, I don't get time to practise anything on music because of house chores. Cooking , helping mama with her job all day long. What should I do since you guys said it wrong from the start of the video

@@charttyrae2294 You need to learn practical skillsets and put your music career to the side. Learn a trade that can get you decent job, move out, CONTINUE doing that job, and focus on your music career when you have time on the side.

Move out so you don’t have to mama chores then. That’s what I’m doing next week ish lol I’m a big boy now and I don’t want to have to deal with all these rules of what I can and can’t do. My mum is super perfectionist narcissistic person. She’s ok one minute but off the next for doing a task wrong or not following a routine. I personally don’t have the energy to deal with it plus I’m off to college so yay. 20 years old by the way. Why don’t you move to LA because the only that matters in the music industry is connection and the way you carry yourself. The music itself is arguable when considering fame nowadays. There’s lots of artist I don’t music from but their swag and social media is what allows them to be musicians even when it sounds terrible.

I don't see why someone paying off their family house is a bad thing. The military wants you to pay off someone else's house or live with them so what difference does it make when your helping them out. Technically your talking about not paying rent and petty matters. Otherwise all those things you mention are trivial as if you don't have freedom from annoyances.

Probably the reason why there's a huge inequality gap is subsidized military inflation.

I’m 20 years old going for my L’s license at the end of this month. Would I necessarily need a license to move? I mean I imagine it would be easier than getting a taxi so 😂🤣

Haha, it would make it easier but it’s not required. I (Phillip) didn’t have my license when I moved out at first. Took me like 2 months to get my license once I moved out! Didn’t really make the process any harder.

Hahaha, I mean this is actually a problem I had. Unfortunately, if your parents are in need of the help, you might have to consider it. However, at least for me, it was better because it was MY house, not my mothers. So she had to listen to my rules lol. Might not be the same situation for you, but that’s how it played out for me.
