Your review of Ur pretty much summed up my thoughts. There's depth there and worth repeated plays if that abstract puzzle calls to you. But the obtuseness of the actions was a wet blanket for me.

I like puzzly/quest style games, where players have more agency/not on auto pilot - Sagani (sequel to Nova Luna) fits the bill for me.

Have you played Joraku and The Number?. Both games are good and have interesting mechanism. Would be great to hear your views for both of them
