@@elaineirwin8918 ikr, its those little details that let you know that they care about the game hey made. it adds nowt to the story or the gameplay, its just this cool thing you can see or do. i was playing something called 'ringworld' the other day, its a point and click. anyway, there was a bit where you can go in a bedroom and there was an anti gravity bed. most point and clicks if you click on a bed its like ''i dont need to sleep right now'' but this one, he climbed on it and just floated there. it was pointless but it just added that little special something. ive been playing 'Policenauts' recently and that has a lot of those moments in too.

Ok so the third and last game Mark plays is “based on real events” and I think I can guess where this games inspiration came from. This sounds like Gerald Foos and the Manor House Motel. Gerald used to spy on his tenants through peepholes in the ceiling. Dude loved to watch the sexual exploits of his tenants and was hella weird. Just look up “The Voyeur’s Motel” and you’ll learn more about this dude. Oh yeah, a documentary about the guy called “Voyeur” is on Netflix if anyone wants to watch it.

I'm starting to get worried for Mark. I love "Onlooker" so much. It was unnerving, but not in the usual way. Its story is unique in the realm of indie horror games and it has a fantastic take on the darkest parts of human nature. Even coming back to this video a year and 5 months later, that story made me feel uneasy in all the best ways.

Late reply but I definitely agree. It's creepy in an unexpected and unnerving way that's very refreshing. Most scary games are walk in the dark, jump scare, and maybe collect some stuff to open a door. not alot of people talking about the gameplay just the dogs name.

Hey Mark, I noticed you call sounds out whether in right or left ear - game developers also need to consider having a sound mode for people who are deaf in one ear. We, which includes myself, will miss audio cues if it plays in the deaf ear. And its hard to set your PC or Laptop or what have you to channel all sound into that one ear that works. I hope developers keep this in mind when they make games.
