I recently made a 3 sectional staff from my hickory trees on my land. I found some perfect size young trees for the staff. I bought all stainless steel swivels, nylock nuts and hex head bolts. I want everything to be top notch. I have attempted to spin it but it is too dangerous for a beginner. So I made a practice staff from foam tubes with bamboo centers. I used the same stainless hardware . Now I can practice without getting hurt. When I feel confident enough I will transition to the hickory staff. Thanks Jake for your expertise and wisdom !

1. Don't get into fights 2. Best fighting tutorial actually 100% legit to most street fights you couldn't prevent: kzbin.info/www/bejne/lYe7Y5qYg52jn80 That's basic, everything other is when you can't use this one. End never learn from KZbin, especially knife-disarming techniques. Or you will be severly injured if you try them in real fight.

Pro tip from someone that has smacked his head often. Get the foam covered 3 piece first. Learning with wood or metal can make you afraid of the weapon and leave your head and face with bruises.

I NEVER used ribbons, at the ends of my tri- staffs. But i see how it slows down the power of that weapon.
@joeyvanhaperen77154 жыл бұрын
It also functions similar to the wings on a arrow sow your movement becomes more true and makes it way easyer to controle because you can see what your doing more clearly. Also it looks extreemly frightening seeing those ends slice through the air like swordblades. I added them and they really improve the weapon, in my eyes it's more importend to hit then to hit hard.

Well the less than honest comment was on the flags. You can say it's for resistance but they also keep it from "wandering". The drag kees the going in a straight line during rotation. It's a lot easier to spin with the flags on it.

@joeyvanhaperen77154 жыл бұрын
If you want to make one, just buy a broomstick collerd tape and a though but thin rope. Saw the broomstick in 3 pieces. Drill holles in the ends. Put a the rope trough the holes and conect the pieces. Make sure your it's conected right by pulling on both ends as hardt as you possibly can. If it doesn't snap it's oke. Put tape around the part were the rope comes out of so it can't move around the hole, but can move at the end of the conecting point. Use different colour tape for every piece to make things easyer on your self. Use foam around the thing for Your own health if you don't have expierence with at least 6 other weapons. if you want to maby pimp it with to pieces of cloth at the end or with the tape. Costed around 6-7 euro's works perfect. One last piece of advice train with the broomstick as a staff first to create a bond with your weapon It will help you out later trust me.

Why don´t you make on for yourself? It´s much better to actually build one than to buy mass produced staffs. You can look for the right weight, you can adjust the length of the staff, you can fight a wood colour that suits you and if you put efford in building a staff you will use it more often than some mass produced bull****. (I am sorry if you already made your own staff and I just bugged you right now, but I had to say this :D )

I never like the asthetic spinning of any weapon. All you have to do is take out the spinning hand to have the weapon attack it's spinner. Takes skill though and I applaud it for a show.
@kitsuneyoukai556010 жыл бұрын
Nah, you just have to hit the center of the staff hard enough. That alone will send the whole weapon fly to the heavens and hit god on the head

And at least I knew name, I wasn't calling it "big, flat, curved metal bar". Damn this guy even knows what "san setsu kon" is or he just wanted to do lamer version of dragonstaff non-fire dance? Because this surelly WASN'T fighting techniques. And staff-fighter (no matter name bo, baa or decha z gwożdziem as I mean any around the world) would just hit free section to make him out of rythm and probably injured with own ssk.

Anybody who thinks this guy is a joke, is really showing your own stupidity... Martial arts is about control... He's obviously not going to show you "Mortal Kombat" techniques, so you can beat up your neighbor or hurt yourself, then sue him... When you look at the amount of discipline and control he has over a given item... This shows "Mastery of the art"... If you think he's a joke... BREAK INTO HIS HOUSE, WHEN HE'S HOME...☺️🤔😶🙃😟😢😱😵🤕☠️💀👻 I've been is martial arts 41 years, so I kind of know what I'm talking about, and if he didn't have the ribbons on the end of the staffs you would not even be able to see them as they move through the air... That is a favor to you... and he's Not even breaking a sweat...

All you've show about REAL fight was few hits actually doable with 2 separate sticks. Rest is fancy spinning actually useless as hell and harmfull (for user) during fight.
