Not everything is filmed with a whole camera crew and set. with the right camera and gear you can take a long distance shot and have a mic close enough to the actor especially if you want to save money and want to get a nice organic environment and not have to pay a bunch of people, not really rocket science.
@winnetouch10 ай бұрын
@@bes12000 Yeah, sure... It's not like Jim and the camera operator were the only ones there, even with such a scenario. Not to mention that it's a public space and you need a permit to film in a public space. If you have a permit it costs money and then you usually close of that space for the duration of the filming to prevent exactly this from happening. You won't be taking chances of random people walking into your shot and delaying a shoot you have a limited time to do (as per the permit). And if it's not a public space, you need to make a deal with the property owner that you pay. Same exact scenario. You will have limited time and will close of the set for the duration of the shoot. So no... They were probably not just some randos on the street. Not saying the scene isn't improvised though. It may well be, but the fact is they were paid extras.
@peacemaster811710 ай бұрын
Yeah, this is definitely inaccurate.
@peacemaster811710 ай бұрын
I looked up Pete Farrelly's comments in the Reddit AMA and he said the pair weren't extras, they were bystanders who were watching the production and Farrelly put them in the scene. So they're technically are "random men who were not paid extras", like the video said. I think the issue is that the phrase "they just happened to be outside the 7-11" makes it sound like they were randomly caught on camera, rather than being put there intentionally by the director.

I didn’t expect this video to be that entertaining because KZbin videos that list out interesting scenes or best bloopers and stuff like that usually turn out to be not that interesting after all, and something I could’ve just skipped. I’m glad I decided to click on this video. Good job. Sincerely, a fellow KZbinr

There were several really good improv moments in Fun With Dick and Jane -- the most notable being where he acted like different alien/robot characters with a voice making device while committing a robbery. They were so funny that they made an extra crack up and they had to include that scene in the outtakes during the credit roll.

I’m the biggest Jim Carrey fan but I did not care for Fun with Dick and Jane! He hasn’t done a good movie in 20 years. The last actual good movie he did was Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind, he hasn’t done anything good since
