Thank you for your content, it has been helping me on my journey from satanist to born again Christian. It's been a rough year and a half or so since I gave my heart to Christ, I have been doing really good on working on my past addictions and working on the last two, alcohol and porn addiction, have been the most difficult. I slipped up today with the pornography, I was doing so good, but one good interaction with a woman was all it took for me to have that burning lust inside after she and I parted ways and it got the best of me when I got home. I know we are not perfect, but it really sucks when we stumble and fall. Back to working on myself, with God's strength and guidance, I can do this, we all can do this, whatever it is any of you are struggling with, just pick yourself back up, repent, and keep growing. Breakthroughs will happen if we keep on pushing through and following God's lead.

You may want to read the classic, Pilgrim's Progress, by John Bunyan. There are film adaptions of it out there too. It's about a character, who happens to be named Christian, who's on a journey to the Celestial City. It's basically an allegory about a born-again Christian who's on his new journey through life now. He's on the road to sanctification and ultimately Heaven. And the trials and tribulations he meets along the way. Might be better than using Harry Potter analogies.

I’m trying to keep faith that God will send me a wife. I know what the scripture says, and I know that God is close. I’ve had thoughts that have came from nowhere that have said, “You need to have faith in God,” and I know that things that that must be from the Holy Spirit. I know that I want to preach, I’ve had dreams and it’s basically all I’ve learned about (purpose-wise). I know that I want to be a husband and a father, but it’s hard to have faith when I will literally have to see to know who my wife will be. I’ve heard a lot of people say, ‘God told me who my spouse was,” but I struggle to believe that God will ever tell me that, I feel like I’ll just have to see to believe. Of course discernment is necessary, and God will most likely not just tell me her name, but it’s still a struggle. And I know that if I’m not married by a certain age, I will no longer want to be because my parents will be too old to spend time with their grandchildren. I know that God’s timing is perfect. But I feel like the woman who said, ‘Give me children lest I die,” or something like that, even though I’m a man lol. And I know that it’s not my will, and I wouldn’t want to even entertain the thought of marrying someone God didn’t choose for me. I know I have to be still and wait. But it’s hard.

Wow this is almost what I experience since 3 years. God led me out of church and my life is shattered. Only on KZbin I met people who understand me. It's like satan asking god to ruin my life and plan everything against me and kill and destroy me. And this is what he really wants to do.... I went for a walk and saw a flock of sheep and one sheep was dead, it looked like a wolf killed it... Then I heard a voice " that's you " a few weeks later I was almost hit by a car on the way to work. This testing season was the most scary and painful season of my life, but the promised land is in sight. God has a big plan ❤ god bless you, keep fighting the good fight 🎉

If you want submission, servility, disappointment, being at the mercy of every one of life's/God's whim, well, go with God, he won't disappoint in that regard as he is extremely generous. Hi David I had a quick question, when your broke down the three phases it really helped me picture where I'm at, I got baptized officially in April of this year although I considered myself a Christian my whole life. However before I was baptized I was much more worldly, and since I have been baptized I just have a level of discernment I feel like I didn't have before. With that being said I feel like im in phase 3 with elements of phase 1 with sinful vines that are still attached to my dead self, however, when I fall I pray about it move on and pick up my cross and try to move forward the best way I can. Is this a good way to move forward? It doesn't mean your fast was a failure. When fasting you should be doing it for a certain intention and focusing on the intent. Sounds like you might of got distracted and gave into sin. Repent and ask for the Lord to cleanse your spirit and meditate on what you're fasting for and give it another go with your focus on your personal intent and pleasing God.
