So glad you talked about tuning down on the four string, I've been meaning to ask for your take on alternate tunings. Plus the thump with the right hand, tap on the fretboard with the left, you seldom hear someone mention, or even see someone break that down, but it's super effective. Lastly, appreciate "you don't have to play everything like the record" , but can be creative and still keep the groove and vibe of the tune. All in all, what you're doing it making us better players, able to serve our musical communities brangin' funk where it's truly needed. Appreciate you, Brother. ☮

I like that....there are no rules. I understood perfectly what Mr. Davis meant by telling you I want what you got.....Prince knew it too....a lot of us know it....even though we may not b able to fully explain it....you bring something extraordinary to playing bass. By the way.....you tore’ Sheila E’s song up and was having a great time doing it! 😁

Awesome, Awesome, video Brown Mark!! I keep telling everybody you're the best Man! Who else could provide an instructional piece on such a classic jam?... Nobody!! That's because nobody's more qualified than you, and for the simple fact that you were there from jump street crafting these grooves with Prince. One of the best parts for me was your pluck & mute technique. Seemingly simplistic in it's application, but straight up Funky! One question I've always had about this cut is...did Prince intend for it to be titled 'Love-Bizarre'(as in strange) or is it 'Love- Bazaar'(as in variety)??? One last note in reference to this video...I had the silliest thought of you actually teaching a class of student's, and then when they'd fail to catch the lesson...you'd sharply smack each one upside the head with your "Skillet Spatula" while shouting out... "Pay Attention"(Lol)😆😆 Love what you're doing brother...these videos are priceless so please keep em coming!👍👍
