Great, great Vid!!!! 4:45 The reasons he cannot do it: 1. He has too much weight at the toes on setup. 2. He stands too far away from the ball. Once you move your weight exactly cantered and you move close to the ball like John Rahm, you can rip your hip away from the ball, and as brutal on the ball with your right elbow as your shoulder rotation allows it.

A lot of stuff later in the video related to needing weight towards the back half of your feet (which I do comfortably I believe throughout the swing) Am I ok doing this? You mention at the beginning, your weight should be on the front half of your feet. Note: I flair my left foot somewhat as it feels comfortable to me.

Mr. Porzak, is it common to experience a level of soreness in the left hip as you start to "break" that early extension habit and work to stay in correct posture. I'm feeling it!

Fantastic video as always. One cheeky question if I can please. I struggle with re gripping at the start of the downswing, essentially gripping tighter as I prepare to hit, this closes the club face and gives me long left…😢 any tips?
@PorzakGolf Жыл бұрын
Try keeping your lead pinky tight and the other 9 fingers a little softer… keep your elbows together in the backswing, smooooth backswing

There’s a strong relationship between the act of kicking a ball and the golf swing. Many rugby kickers are very good golfers as well: naas botha, springboks’ legend fly half (and also nfl kicker for Dallas cowboys, in the 80s), comes to mind, but many others. Beside that, I usually struggle with early extension with the ball below my feet: even if I try hard to stay in posture, I almost always top it: any tip?
@milkman_dan Жыл бұрын
Same with soccer. The ball flight laws with path and foot angle are identical. Big difference is the foot angle vs face angle of the club are oriented differently. For example the foot doesn't always come in flat square like a club, like if you're kicking with your laces vs the side of the foot.

I have this same issue where I early extend and hit really high shots. I've been trying to work on the set up and take away but now I'm getting the occasional shank. What could be causing that?
