This is good stuff . I have a little 5 year old that has really been through a lot in his life so made it hard to teach him certain things because we were both so mentally & physically drained , :/ he is so smart tho! He knows how to spell his name but not write it but these are amazing techniques and I’m very excited to show him these different methods! I know we will both have fun together ! So far he does know how to write an A . & L his name is Azul !

I love how you referred to it as learning their own personal signature, it is so special to them compared to sight words and we want them extra comfortable with it. Great ideas!

Ben's my sons name he's 3 and he only just started preschool and is already struggling to even making an Aa

My wife and I are in the same boat. Our son turned 3 in July and the expectation is for him to write out his name. As of today, he cannot write a single letter but he can identify all letters If you find something that seems to work for your child Ben, please reply back here and we will try that technique with our son If we find something that seems to work, I will post it here for you too

@@FindingPeace20 the technique I learned from my mother to help my son was guide his hand to make the A do that a couple times and say can u try don’t worry if he won’t get it my fiancé said yesterday they expect them to quote Shakespeare the second they come out of the womb
