A digital audio workstation like Ableton Live is everything a musician could dream of having in a recording device. In a DAW we can record as long and often as we like, we can edit with the ease of infinite undo, we have access to every sound we could ever imagine through VSTs and software instruments, and integrating hardware has never been more flexible. But all of this comes at a price; overthinking, perfectionism, and all of the anxiety that comes with those tendencies can destroy the creative process. One of the most effective things we can do to avoid these traps is embrace limitations. Here, we limit ourselves in time by attempting to make 3 songs in 90 minutes.
