I am on the dexcom receiver on signal loss 😢 type 2

I have G6 with iPhone 11, the most popular phone in the USA, and it works about 1/2 the time. My guess, the transmitter signal is too weak since it’s designed to last 3 months without recharging, that’s crazy.

Also forget this device for all your Bluetooth devices (we did this except my daughters Apple Watch) then close every app open on your phone including the dexcom app. Then turn your phone off/on. Finally open up the dexcom app and wait for the transmitter to reconnect. About 5 min. We were having a lot of sensor loses that gradually got worse and worse. I did the above four days ago and haven’t had a signal loss since.

I too am having signal loss errors all the time and I am quite literally 2 feet away. It happens with every sensor I use. I thought it was my transmitter, but I recently replaced it and I still get those signal loss messages. I don't use my phone, but use my computer and the G6 receiver. Could it be a faulty receiver as it would seem that in my case it is a problem with the sensor communicating with the G6 receiver? I'm going to try and turn off the Bluetooth on my phone to see if that is the problem- if somehow my phone and my receiver is competing for a signal.

Really hoping the G6 is coming to germany soon. Have to get my next prescription soon and would rather have the G6 than the G5 for yet another year.

@@lindavantassel8231 G6 costs are significantly lower than for example G 5 in Germany. Moreover, in Germany, insurers are legally required to provide CGM ever since last year.

I just quit the libre because it was so inaccurate. Constantly 30 to 60 points off all the time in either direction regardless of the direction my bs was moving. Woke me up from a sound sleep, loud beeping, 54 and going straight down. Ran to the fridge, started downing the chocolate milk, and thinking, it doesn't feel low. Checked it with a strip, 82 and feeling fine. I wanted to smash it with a hammer. I hate to see all these negative comments about the Six. I'm already disappointed in it because you cannot check your bs when you want to, you have to wait for the app to send one to you. Last time I waited almost 15 minutes for that to happen.

I just discovered the Dexcom G6 will only be replaced 3 times within a year. I called to get 3 the other day and was told I'm not elligible for any replacement sensors. I was ordered by my doctor to remove them for an MRI and Dexcom just said that's not a bleeding or breakdown of the sensor. Obviously ever who made this decision doesn't have to deal with diabetic problems. There's something obviously they''re not willing to tell you. Odd.

I am so sorry! That is ridiculous. I know with Medtronic that they can give you up to 3 replacements PER MONTH online (diabetes.shop) and more if needed by giving Medtronic a call. I would give Dexcom a call. It is their fault for a faulty sensor, not yours. And MRIs happen (and for many). I would call and not an accept a no. You have diabetes, you require working CGMs for your care.

We are having problems with our g6. Put a new senor, waiting 2 hours, after 15 min, it said need new sensor. Look on sensor data, shows no insertion. So frustrating. Any ideas?

Hey Brian did you fix it? Dexcom customer service is good once you get through, though it sometimes takes a long long time.

@@johnedward8352 Sure did. Dexcom said we may have put new sensor on too soon from when other sensor removed. They shipped 2sensors.

@@brianonthego That's a strange explanation but at least they took care of it. They're pretty good like that. Have you noticed d6 not transmitting data from the main device to secondary devices? My wife and I, especially at night for some reason, sometimes won't get data for hours at a time.

We have gone trough 3 sensors in like 10 days. Lots of sensor failures wait 3 hours. I just put a new one on and it has a failure message in the first 10 minutes . My son is 6 and have never had a Dexcom last more than 5 days. We have tried every part of his body and don’t know what more to do.

Try closing all your apps and removing any previous connected Bluetooth devices on your phone then turn your phone off and on. Once done open up the dexcom app and try again. Often times a simple turning off and on does the trick. It’s my go to.

We've been having problems with her d6 sending data to our phones from her primary device. It seems like it happens mostly at night which is a very important time for us to receive data as our t1d daughter is 3. Anybody else having this issue?

Just started using it and am having the same problem! I can't see any data while I'm at work and she's at school. Which is kind of the point. Very frustrating!

Brand new user. Just chatted with Dexcom support. I had walked off during the initial warmup of my very first sensor. Restarted the app, the phone... bluetooth off and back on multiple times, and still could not reestablish connection. The warmup timer kept counting down, even though it showed 'not connected.' At the end of the warmup period, I started getting readings somehow. Thought they were fake. Tech Support said that it does not NEED to stay connected in between reporting times. So it only connects long enough to send the new reading, and then goes quiet again to save the battery. Anyone disagree?

If all else fails , and you cannot connect with the transmitter At all , take the transmitter and bang it on the floor a few times facing the broad side , it seriously worked for me and fixed the issue . The plastic casing is super tough so nothing will happen to it .

Maybe your transmitter is a bit wonky. Had the same problem with my first transmitter too, but not at all since then. I'm on my third transmitter now.

don't use my phone, use the receiver, so this video was useless. Change the title
