Thank you for repeating your instructions as you teach. It is so very helpful and no need to apologize. I had a severe head injury from a car accident that affected my memory somewhat. it means so much that you speak so clearly and repeat with your instruction. I love your tutorials and subscribed. Your patience radiates.

Bless you Raven, thank you so much for your comment. I have a tendency to repeat myself and I am happy it helps you. I am not usually a patient person but jewelry design calms me and I become very patient.
@jazz20127 жыл бұрын
I second what Raven said. I also suffered a head injury just before Christmas 2015 and struggle with memory. Written patterns now confuse me so I prefer spoken instructions with videos. That said, I still struggle with the start of this. Does the weave have a name? It's not your technique it's my brain that doesn't work but if the weave has a name I can use spoken, written and video instructions and then my addled brain might make sense of it.. Keep doing what you do, it's fabulous.

Jennifer, Great tut, thanks for sharing. Love your work! I'm just now finding this & realize it was an early one, but I had the same question about wingspan, haha. Figured it meant arm's length, which is about a yard (from fingers holding thread/wire/measuring tape to middle of chest). Or possibly double that, as in the wingspan of a bird. Anyway, since I was working from the spool with the bottom weave, I used a leftover pc of 28g wire that was at least 60"... It wasn't enough for the top 4/2 weave. Had to start over with a new piece. Time consuming, since I don't have multiple reels of that gauge. Just letting you know it might be a good idea to mention how many separate lengths of weaving wire (if any) there will be at beginning of tuts, so we can cut extras before we start weaving with the spool/reel. For what it's worth, I've watched several of your other tuts in the past and never had any issues. Just thought I'd bring this up for future reference. ☺️

Hi. Stunning design, love the tutorial. Just one observation....please could you clarify exactly what you mean by "wingspan" when talking about lengths of wire? It is a touch confusing to beginners.
@Jenniferbiedermannjewelry8 жыл бұрын
Hi Angie, you are right I didn't consider that I am sorry...A wing span is the length from finger tip to finger tip when you outstretch your arms. A wing span equals to approximately 2 yards. I will remember to clarify that next time, thanks for pointing that out.

Hi there Diane, first I have a question for you, are you just starting to wire weave...if so riogrande silver & base wires can be pricey.. I always use round dead soft wire. You have few choices, silver filled wire for 25ft $25.00...Sterling silver 25 ft $52.00...Argentinium 25ft $57.00...Titanium 20ft $12.20....Nobium 10ft $22.00. So what does all that mean!lol I would recommend artistic wire for beginners because there may be alot of waste along the way.. Then I would move up to Silver Filled. I checked all the pricing for an example of 18 gauge wire. I hope this helps. Also I would highly recommend Copper wire it is like 15$ for a 1lb spool and has a nice warm feel after its aged.

Okay so I got the wire, now when you say 8mm x 4 mm beads, not sure what that means.... I can fine 8mm beads but I'm not sure what the 4mm means? Thanks so much for your answers, your videos and your kindness.
@Jenniferbiedermannjewelry8 жыл бұрын
Hi Dianne, 8mm x 4mm is a rondelle, If you are using round beads I would suggest going with a 4mm to 6mm round bead make sure the round bead can fit on your wire, so to be safe if you are using 18 gauge go with the 6mm.
@diannebateman23918 жыл бұрын
I PURCHASED THE 18 gauge and 28 gauge sterling silver wire from Riogrande and it seems a lot thinner than the one you are using. Are all gauge thickness the same regardless of the product. Example - sterling silver versus copper. Sorry to ask so many questions. Thank you! I want to make this bracelet, I just want to make sure I'm using the correct product.

Hi Jennifer, I love your designs and your step by step instructions with still pictures on your blog/web page a super easy to follow. However, your video tutorials need some fine tuning...especially your camera, as it is mostly out of focus. Have you tried using autofocus function? Also, your hands and work are often out of screen which makes it even harder to follow your instructions. Also, may I suggest using paler nail varnish as brightly coloured nails distract viewer's attention. Apologies if this sounded a bit harsh. I really hope that a bit of the "constructive criticism" doesn't put you off and am looking forward to see more of your beautiful designs and tutorials. Kindest regards, Oksana

hi there oskana. first thank you for your comment its best that these things are pointed out so i can improve my videos for all to enjoy. I replaced my camera it i now has an auto focus its alot easier believe me! as for my nails yes it can be distracting so next to time i get my nails done french manicure or pale color all the way. thanks again for taking the time to comment no such thing as bad critism when it is done to help a person improve.
