MY word!! I've been searching for ways to start securing some gorgeous stones that I have. I tried wiring them BUT, besides my horrible job at it, I hated the look of it. It looked like a bunch of yarn around a cat. Beading around them is the BEST way to keep them secure plus the result is fantastic and beautiful. ALSO, "balancing" the beads around unevenness (@30:25 min), not only is something I would've never thought doing but it does balance it beautifully and you can't even tell one side has more #15 than the rest around the uneven shaped perimeter of the stone. Even if adding one more round of seed beads to secure it even more, the stone is so much larger than the beads that it won't make it look smaller. Over all it's a brilliant idea for uneven anything. Many thanks.

Thank you so much for showing how to do the step up each time, I find it hard to know where to step up when some one says step up but doesn't bother to show you how each time. Some people need to see that every step of the way until the end. Great for beginners. I had these stones for over 20 years and finally I can do something with them. Sorry for your children's loss. The Stone looks great.

Hi there. I'm so sorry to hear about what you and your family went thru. I'm so glad you came back to beading. I'm a self taught artist . I do gemstones, crystals, wire wrapping and beadweaving jewelry and special ornaments meant to be displayed. I sell at craft fairs and poshmark. I have never known how to bezel a stone that is irregular or any cabochon for that matter. I have a plethora of them and didn't just want to wire wrap them. I can't thank you enough for showing us how to bezel an irregular stone with beadweaving. You explain everything very clearly. Now I can get busy bezeling my gemstones. I know how to do rivolis but not cabs and stones. So once again thanks so much for your help and for your tutorials. I just found you today and I'm so happy I did. You're a great teacher. Sincerely, your new friend from Florida Melissa Doucette.

Just browsing topics and came across your tutorial. I'm so very sorry for what you had to go through lately. I lost my ex 8 years ago from a motorcycle accident, our daughter was 20 at the time. It takes a long time to begin to feel normal again, if you ever do. My daughter still goes to therapy and it helps. Be kind to yourself. Love your jewelry work, thank you so much. I used to do a lot of peyote and brick stitch work but it's too hard on my old eyes now! I still love watching the process.
@sueswayzee8674
@sueswayzee8674 4 жыл бұрын
I always close the circle with a square knot, pull it tight, and then gently tug a bead-width gap between the first and last bead before continuing. Then needle through one bead after the knot before beginning the next round of peyote. This way the circle stays secure and won’t loosen. It’s the only time I use knots in peyote stitch because a bezel should be nice and snug.

Jennifer I am so sorry that you had to go through that. I am sure that you felt completely helpless for your kids and in the whole situation in general. I can't imagine what you went through! I am glad that you are going back to your beading so that you can start having some happiness back in your life! And what a great place to start with this irregular bezel! I can make jewelry and design things but sometimes it's really difficult when you want to work with a medium that is not traditional. This method will help people in so many ways. I want to start making items to bezel with polymer clay and resin. I want to start doing bead embroidery also so this is fantastic for me to learn from. This will help so much for me when I don't want to make beading holes in the pieces that I make. lol Thank you so much for sharing this! I've been beading for a lot of years but you far surpass me when it comes to bezels like this! lol Welcome back and thank you for sharing your awesome gift with us! -Shannon

I am so sorry for the loss of your kids father, and your ex-husband. It is a very tough time for all of you, and that is such an understatement! It is very good to start working towards getting happiness back into your lives, and beading will help. I speak from the experience of losing my mom, way too early. And it helped, immeasurably! I believe that you are working with Carnelian, they have that nice rich orange throughout. I am like so many beaders, I have scads of gemstones, bought because I loved them! Got them home and went, okay! Now what? Thank you so much for doing the video! First off the bat, you were missed! Second, you showed me where I went wrong! I didn’t start with 10/0 Delicas. Nor did I do enough rounds with the 11/0 Delicas! So I’m going back, to re-do what I didn’t do properly, earlier on! Continue beading towards allowing happiness into your life, and setting a great example for your kids. You will get longer and longer periods of happiness back into all of your lives!

Jennifer Biedermann Jewelry you're totally welcome! I was touched by your honesty. Healing is a process. Pulling ourselves out of a funk is the toughest thing we can do. And THATS what's super amazing about this video! You are strong. Blessings to you and Thankh you fOR your response! I'm totally inspired to do this now. Oh and yaaaay! Yes your children will LOVE them! Especially because they come from the best intention from mom. Smiling at you and your family and cheering you on from afar! It's the power of love! Light xo 🙏🏾💚

This took a lot of strength and courage to start the video as you did. I'm sorry for your family's loss. I have tried this Peyote Stitch, it truly is easy. I hope many others learn from you as I did as far as the bail. Encapsulating stones in this way, does release the energy in the stones through skin contact. You are quite correct. I'm truly glad you did not finish off the back! Fantastic tutorial! You have a new sub here. I look forward to seeing other creations from you soon. Many blessings!

I'm so sorry, I actually am literally dealing w/ the same thing. My x has been a miracle he is going on 1 1/2 yrs, will be 2 in Nov., I'm glad as it's giving all of us time w him to make some great memories. I know how hard it is, even being an x, it's hard when you have children.
