I used to have a Gerber multi-tool as my every day carry. One day I had a car accident and was brought into a hospital. Two nurses came into the room to change the infusion needle of the guy laying next to me but they couldn't do it. I was laying there, watching them, still in my work clothes and with my multi-tool in my pocket. I whipped it out and asked "would that help?". They took it and were very grateful. Felt pretty good.

Hell, I'm a woman and I EDC a folding Kershaw AND a Leatherman. I'm constantly loaning out my hedge trimmer. As far as tackle boxes go, did you know that the iconic '90s Caboodles cosmetics organizers are just pink plastic tackle boxes? The company was founded by a dad who realized a tackle box was what his daughter needed to organize all of her lip glosses and mascara. So my tackle box is a sparkly pink Caboodles. It's still a tackle box, dammit!

@@ramtough4384 I just really like the way Kershaws fit my hand. :) My buddy, a bouncer, brought over a box of 100+ pocketknives he'd confiscated, whose owners never returned for them. I prefer a swiss army knife. Bought mine in Switzerland 20+ years ago, and still carry it. As for tools? Yes. Only thing I don't... no, I have wire strippers I just never use them because my pocketknife is faster. Tackle box, though, could go either way, depending on what you have that needs sorting into tiny containers and how. I have one for electronic components, but for screws I'd rather use a set of shop drawers. Nothin worse than having that box get shaken up and all the screws come out of the compartments, and now you've got a screw loose. Really, though, reminds me I need to find a set of JIS screwdrivers.

Can confirm, personally I use my tackle box to sort out arcade stick parts and specialty tools for arcade stick building. Great way to keep things organized for said projects. Also, never leave home without a buck-knife of some sort. Too useful a tool to not have handy at all times. As for the tool everyone wants to borrow, idk why, but my 10 ft step-ladder seems to be it.

Love the way he says, “you’re gonna have to borrow it to your neighbor.” I was “stuck” living in South Dakota in the early 2000’s and they really say this! The word, “loan” isn’t used there! You “borrow” somebody money! I asked a coworker to explain why banks have “LOAN OFFICERS” and not “BORROW OFFICERS?” His head almost exploded. Poor guy. It truly is a different world back there. I was raised in California. Talk about culture shock! 😳 This was the first time I experienced true racism also. It’s pitiful. 😢

I love carying a pocket knife everyday, but even a modest knife can be a bit jarring to others when you pull it out, so a small set of WISS electrician's scissors is another fantastic EDC item to carry along. Slip it into an EDC pouch that you put into your pocket, or even a simple leather pouch you put on the belt, and they're built to last.

He really isn't wrong. I got me a tackle box for all my miscellaneous woodworking tools that were scattered around my tools (mechanic). It's nice to know where everything is, even if it doesn't make sense to people

I am 45, and I have a tackle box in the garage that I have had since I was in 4th grade. It was my grandfather's dad's. The last time I went fishing was 5th grade.

Pliers. Yeah that's me. Knew a guy who only carried a small vice grip. That was badass seeing him use it. And my tackle box contains pvc fittings

A true EDC is a fixed blade or somewhat big pocket knife with a case and a firearm that you can conceal if you have a CCW or if you have a license to open carry

SWEET!!! I'm a man!!! I carry... a pair of pliers, utility knife, Sharpie marker, carpenter pencil, small mag-lite, torch tip cleaner, and a piece of soapstone every day. (Unless I'm going somewhere special or on vacation) As a construction worker, marking is everything. The tip cleaner comes in handy for smashed fingernails.
