For Deckboxes this is why I bought the FabMetalTokens commissioned art Federico Musetti deck box. Would love to see more official FaB deckboxes. The Star Wars Unlimited Pre-release was awesome!! Deck box, QuickStart rules manual, packs, pop out cardboard tokens, and a quick deckbuilding guide all for $29.99. The exact same as FaB pre-release price at my LGS

The Flesh and Blood Dragon Shield sleeves are so good I use them for my Shadowverse Evolve decks. The art pops really well with a good class aesthetic and art mattes are still the best sleeves I've ever used so giving DS a reason to keep making them is a win in my book. I'd kill for other FAB accessories since having the LSS branding is almost a seal of quality.

Down the line, I would like FaB to have formats akin to Modern, Legacy, or Pioneer in MtG. Having eternal formats with a set card pool that is more limited would be great fun in both experiencing a bit of FaB history and trying to find metas that couldn't be found then. LSS could even make custom formats where only cards from certain sets are legal, which would be a fun way to make cards overshadowed by stuff like Command and Conquer more relevant since, in this hypothetical format, cards like C&C wouldn't be legal.

I can definitely see - at the very least - fans making a rotating format. For example, the game took a pivot from Dynasty forward, and I could totally see people making a format where they play with only cards from that set onwards. It'd be a cool experience

Prerelease packs would also be helpful for stores that run community-led events (events ran by designated volunteers rather than store employees). My main LGS does this, but every prerelease season, I have to remind them about how sealed deck works and players’ needs, since FAB is not a main game line in the store. If we had a prerelease pack SKU, all stores would have to do is order a case or two of them, and that’s it. No calculus or advanced planning math required. (It would also standardize how stores operate these events. Many stores were not aware of the difference with Bright Lights, even though LSS posted tons of warnings about the change for that set.)

All seriousness, though - great points here. The new Star Wars game has deck boxes where you can put a hero card to 'showcase' the box. Love that idea here.

A stamped promo is something I had considered mentioning, but not sure how many people would prefer that. I personally would love to just have the set code stamped on it, like HVY on the bottom corner of Starting Stake's art

God, playmats were so hard to get one two years ago. Thankfully they are very available now. I’d welcome hero deck boxes the most. Tokens / counters should honestly be part of precons like other games do. What I’d welcome would be slightly oversized boxes for precons so the cards would fit in sleeves too, like Sorcery did.

Would love a product with everything you need++. So one deck box, classic con deck, blitz deck(diff hero), playmat, 2-4 tokens/counters, dice, 1-2 promo, 3-6 packs.

I can't use spin downs. I will instinctively fiddle with them and immediately forget what my life total was. Those cardboard life trackers included in MtG's commander precons are what I used for FaB. Or a calculator or pen and paper works too.

My personal favourite desire for fab is ALT ART for Heroes which as a hero centric game I have no clue how it isn't done yet.. the cost of comissioning 1 art is negligible but the amount of value it brings to be able to choose which art you like best (I don't play multiple heroes because I just don't like their art) is absolutely huge imo

So when are you being hired at LSS for product development?? 😂 great ideas all around, personally im all for the armory pack idea. My local store does something sort of similar with prize support. Players get a choice of one open pack, and a sealed pack, in standings order, so yes while the champion gets to guarantee a good pull in their open prizes, other players can also get something worthwhile in their sealed pack

I dont think prize packs are the way to go for local armories. Armories are the entry point for players coming from the kitchentable. If those weekly armories hold too much of a significant value, the level of competition will mount and armories will turn from friendly, 'hey, welcome to the game. I can even lend you a deck if you'd like' to, 'GFO N00B'. Admittedly, the prize support could do with a refresh, but increasing the value of these is not the way to go imo

I 100% support the idea of Prize packs vs standard once a month RFs. I'd also love to see more viable precon decks akin to yugioh structure decks, but that's a topic for another day.

LSS: We care about the environment so half of the booster wrappers produced for our game are made from paper Sloopdoop: I WANT MORE JUNK Unironically, though, I'd also love to have those pesky dice to be available for purchase. Having to order them from Singapore and dealing with shipping and customs isn't really fun. Hard pass on the spindowns, by the way. These things are awful for tracking anything as they roll too easily and there are already too many of these being produced for Hasbro. I'd rather just use a notepad or an app

I hardly disagree on prerelease kits. The feeling you described is mostly subjective, and shipping and logistic is a really big deal since the game still isn't as big as magic. The armory packs is a cool idea tho, and i support it fully.

For counting Life, i would prefer the threat tracker from Lord of the Rings Lcg. Way better than dice. And pls! For the love of Fab, make some assasing dragon shield sleeves for us, arakni and uzuri mains.

I'm a pretty big yugioh hater, but yeah ots packs kick ass. I tried getting back into the game again recently and still wasnt a fan, but I pulled a UTR triple tactics thrust and sold it for $100. And then I pulled a UTR harpie's feather duster. Ots packs feel great

It will never happen. But I know having a live service client is a necessity for the long-term survival of the game. It lets players quickly learn FaB and easily play FaB at any time, anywhere.

I'd been on the fence about trying the game since it came out but the fact that there are no summonable creatures keeps me from really engaging with it. The whole aesthetic and vibe make it look like the perfect game for building a board of dragons and monsters and allies but nope, just 2 people fighting. So no matter how much I like the cards and the overall aesthetic I just can't bring myself to actually put money into this game unless they steal this from other games...
