Very interesting and great tips! What was your weekly routine?
@TOMI_SWB
@TOMI_SWB 2 ай бұрын
Since my goal is to train for the advanced skills, there are usually 2 - 3 days of skill workouts, then the other 1 - 2 days of the week, I would go for the basic exercises (push, pull/core) to continue building my fundamental strength. I also have at least 1 rest day a week so my body and muscles will have time to recover. To have an effective workout schedule, you should base on what goal you are aiming for so you can divide your weekly routine more suitable for you 💪🙌

Can you make a video how to hold a planche longer
@TOMI_SWB
@TOMI_SWB 2 ай бұрын
Yeah for sure bro, though I've also talked through it in some of my recent planche videos. The current technique that I'm using is just to focus on holding the planche progression you're currently at as much as possible. Even if it is only 1-2s, to allow my body to get more and more used to doing the planche. After that, I would continue to train with some of the previous planche progressions for a few sets, and sometimes finish the workout with the planche lean hold. You can try this out to see if it works for you or not and then make changes so it would suit your strength and training type the most 💪🙌

Yo how to fix the forearm pain during planche training?
@TOMI_SWB
@TOMI_SWB 4 ай бұрын
Personally, I haven't experienced forearm pain while training for the planche, however, I believe that your forearm will need more preparation before the workout. So for the next planche routine, I recommend you focus more on warming up your arms, and you can also start with some planche leans. Try to maintain your arms straight, slowly lean more and more forward, and put more tension on your forearm so it will gradually get more comfortable when holding in the planche movement. If it still hurts and affects your training, then you should have more rest time, or you can go for other easier exercises so your forearm will have more time to heal and recover 💪🙌

what do you think about planche assisted exercise like straddle planche push up with band?
@TOMI_SWB
@TOMI_SWB 4 ай бұрын
You can absolutely train the planche with any equipment (parallettes, resistance band...) since all of them will support you to get more used to doing the skill. I would suggest you do the exercises with equipment close to the end of your workout session, and at the start (you will have your full strength), you can train without equipment to build your planche strength faster 💪🙌

how long would it take me to do a full planche, im right now at tucked planche? it's almost impossible to straighten my legs and back, what do i need to train to straighten my back and legs
@noahhhl
@noahhhl 4 ай бұрын
personally ive been stuck on adv tuck for a while but some advice i would say are just staying consistent, trust the process and look for improvement because planche is all about specificity and you need to train your muscles and nervous system to get used to and get stronger in those specific positions. your progress will likely be pretty slow unless you have a lot of previous experience and strength or if you are pretty light, but even then planche can take up to more than a year to learn. if you are having trouble straightening your legs and back honestly I would just say keep working on doing tuck planche, work on increasing the seconds (time under tension) until you can consistently hold it well/long enough until you decide to move on to adv tuck.

When I was at the tuck planche, my goal was to hold it for 10 - 15s with the correct form. So what I did was to try my best to do the tuck planche for as much as possible for each workout, and it would usually be around 5 to 7 sets of training. Then I would complete the session with a few more sets of planche lean hold. At the time, I didn't think much about why I would like to hold the tuck planche for 10, 15s, I just thought it would be cool to be able to do it for a long duration. However, by training with the tuck planche as much as I could, I was unconsciously allowing my body to get more and more comfortable when doing the movement. The result was that my strength increased a lot, so as my hold duration, and I could progress to the next level which is the advanced tuck planche. So what I would recommend you do is first focus on your current level, and then once you've got comfortable with it, try to work with the next progression right away. This will be the same when you try to progress further and make sure to also stick with the planche fundamentals to constantly build your planche strength. For most people that I trained with, it would usually take them 1-2 years to fully achieve the full planche. I've also seen many people unlock it in a few months, however, I believe that the results will always be the same if you just stick with your workout consistently 💪🙌
