In our culture today, you might hear people say things like:
“It’s impossible to graduate from college without taking out student loans.”
“You can’t buy a car or have nice things without debt.”
“The only way to become a millionaire is to be born into a rich family.”
But believe it or not, our culture doesn’t always tell the truth. Shocking, I know.
So, in the latest episode of The Rachel Cruze Show, I’m going to set the record straight. You’ll learn:
• Three truths society doesn’t tell you about money
• How a school teacher paid off $40,000 of debt in just 14 months
• The proven plan to become a millionaire, no matter your income

Ruth e . I was doing what they said as a young person...before they came along. The process does work. I’m glad it’s in print for all to know how to enjoy life better. I retired twice in my twenties. My dad said I had to get back to work bc retiring in 20s doesn’t look good?! I think he was jealous. Married I looked for a guidebook. Saw DR’s (Dave Ramsey’s) first best seller. Couldn’t wait to buy it. New husband said waste of money. Bought leather bible cover instead. Today, I’m glad I came across DR on KZbin which is new adventure (yt). Same method. I love the structure. That’s what I needed structure on print. This time as married. Life is distracting and I wanted something I can answer to. DR being the 3rd party helped to coach. Husband realized truth. Don’t worry. You’ll get there. Oprah has normal people as millionaires years ago on her program. A librarian finally became one very late in life. My husband will get there. Now we have this millionaire gentleman in today’s video. Structure. Great! Btw don’t look back&regret bc you’ll probably start longing for your debt to come back! Lol! That’s why I like this guest. He pushes your vision to come true bc you are putting in the effort! Sweat is good. You can do it! Remember the process is old. The vision is new and the cheerleading is fun for our mind. It needs to replace the negative.

@@themontephone875 So a miracle happened. Took Financial Peace twice. Went on Hogan's retirement calculator and I will have three million in twenty five years minimum! I can get there shorter by adding more! Thank you for your positive feedback. My goal is to leave each child, now thirty, with one million! I tithe and believe tithing is the reason why. So thank you very much and I live in Arizona. I love to crochet it does not cost that much money! Thank you again. Dave Ramsey's Financial Peace Class is amazing...

So you say this video will show us how a school teacher paid off $40,000 of debt in just 14 months, but you don't really do that. Was she living at home and not paying rent? I'm just saying that in this economy if you are an adult living on your own, you still have to pay for housing costs, food, utilities, insurance, etc. So while I may have a decent job, even if I spent all of my free time baby sitting and working a series of part time jobs I still wouldn't make enough to pay off $40, 000 in 14 months. More detailed information would be helpful.

I'm really interested in what Ramsey would recommend in a city like Toronto, where a tiny 1-bedroom condo (500 square feet) costs over 650K, but the average income is only 60K. I'm very on top of my budget and finances and have zero debt (after paying off 100K in student loans), but going into over half a million dollars in debt for a tiny condo seems absolutely insane to me. What would Ramsey advise in this situation?

When they talk about college costs, they never mention joining the National Guard. There can be great educational benefits, it's a part-time job, and you'll have four years' prior service if you decide on military active service after college. Finally, you get to serve your neighbors in case of a natural disaster. I suspect they don't mention it because they secretly feel a bit guilty for their own lack of service.

Another of everything I want for my family just went down the tubes, I welcomed her family online, and can make this up later this year, so will keep to my plan. I feel like ***** but their marriage is a happy milestone for them, god only knows what I am going to learn when I hit my goal (hopefully it wont hurt as much as the car that hit mine about the time they must have wed). Dont stop delivering the money message - I reached a million earlier, empire building, then bam - I took so long to recover life just kept happening along the way. heartbreaking, but worth it?.

My kids all went to school debt-free and I'm a single mom that couldn't help them. They worked full-time while they went to school at a community college. And they were cheap about everything. It is possible, but it has to be a priority. I went to school before I learned all this and I'm still paying on my student loans. Watching their mom go through this and having to put off retirement just to pay off my loan gave my kids the WHY.

@@thechaoscrew8026 that's true. Being a single mom living on $14000 a year, working 50 hours a week doing daycare while going to college full time (and homeschooling my boys) was much harder, and my kids saw how hard I worked, so it inspired them to cash flow their way through. My 16 year old daughter is in her 2nd year of college that she has paid for herself, working full-time for a lawn-care company in the summers, and filling out every scholarship she can find. What I was meaning to say is that Dave Ramsey is a millionaire now, but he hasn't always been. Following his advice is hard work, but it is doable.
