You will eventually develop bent elbow after you hit too many nearby dancers with straight arms. You still need to look behind before you bam straighten out your arm.

Thanks for the video! These mistakes though, among many others, come from wrong basic teaching. If they are so dominant, maybe the teaching system should be evaluated, don't you think?

There is definitely wrong teaching, as well as students’ lack of knowledge. Many dancers take group classes for years that don’t cover any of these areas, and bad habits get compounded over time. And there are also many instances where students might know the info but don’t put in the right kind of practice to correct them. Hopefully our videos can change some of that! 🙂 do u teach?
