Excellent tip: it’s always wise to let someone know you’re heading out on a ride. Don’t want them spooked if you’re not back right on your ETA because flats happen of course, but getting really stuck when you’re alone & no one knows your route is bad news. I’m thinking a Vashon Island ride is the thing to do.🤘🏻

I went on my first Bike Packing trip last weekend for one night. It was a state park 30 miles from my house. It's great advice your giving. I forgot some things, but nothing I couldn't live without. Thanks for all your content. I'm already eager to plan my next longer trip. Thanks ladies.

Great advice, as always. Never hurts to put your tent up if it’s new, or has been a long time since using it. Maybe the same with your cookstove, but outdoors, for sure!!

Aww cheers mate! Yea...i am a bit nutty that's for sure 🤪And good on ya for getting out one night a week! Also, easiest way to get this 🤘 is to be on your phone OR copy and paste from the interwebs. Emojipedia works well (just save a doc on your computer w ones you want to use :) )

Welp, I did my very first bike camping trip a few weeks ago, and am scouting out the next one. One thing I've learned; I'd really love a shower! Don't like being sticky. I imagine bike camping in the autumn will help with the stickiness a little (I live in TN so dang that last bike trip was humid as all get out). Your video has poked me to start planning the next overnighter. I figure if I do a couple-few overnighters by next spring I may be ready for a multi-night trip down natchez trace.

Do you know the weight of your Kona Unit out of curiosity?

Not sure but it feels lean and mean without all the gears. Tires are BIG and super plush. Maybe I’ll get on the scales w it later

I like the challenge and simplicity. I rode fixed gear on road for many years and loved it. Thought I'd give this a try. The Unit is super versatile as well (can also accommodate internal hubs) so might change it up in the future if I want some gears.
